If you want to take custom screenshots, or want to make custom movies and clips from Valorant, then you might need to use the free camera feature.
It will enable you to move around the map freely without spectating players or anything similar. However, it might be weird or difficult to use. That’s why we will tell you how to do it easily.
Valorant – How to Use the Free Camera?
Keep in mind that to use the free camera you must be an observer in a match. In other more common terms, you have to be a spectator.
So, this will include custom matches or matches where you don’t play, but are an observer. If you want to use this camera this is how you do it:
IMPORTANT: Before you can use the free camera, you need to bind it on a key first. Follow this steps to use Free Camera in Valorant :
- Launch Valorant.
- Go to your Settings > Controls > Interface.
- You will see “Observer: Toggle Free Camera”, select the key on which you want to bind the Free Camera.
- In a custom match, or a match where you are an observer, press the corresponding key to use the Free Camera feature.
If you are an amateur caster or you are hosting tournaments, then you will most likely need to use this camera. However, it can move around weirdly through walls, so before anything, try it in a custom match.
On top of that, as I said above, you can create some amazing custom screenshots using this camera. Well, montages too, but it can be more difficult.
The interface disappears when using the Free Camera, hence why it is so good for the things mentioned above. If it doesn’t work for you, make sure you have the option bind and you are a spectator!
