Diona Katzlein is a girl who inherited a trace amount of non-human blood. She became popular in Mondstadt when she became the bartender of the tavern named the Cat’s Tail. This is not only because she has a feline look, which the tavern is known for, but also because of her specialty drinks.
Despite being praised for her cocktail mixes, Diona despises alcohol. This is because her father, Draff, has been drinking a lot and has put himself in danger many times while hunting because of drinking too much. With this, Diona made a promise to herself, and that is to destroy Mondstadt’s wine industry.
Diana is a supporting character who uses a bow as a weapon and owns a Cryo Vision, enhancing her skills in combat and mixing cocktails. She provides shields for her teammates and heals them when necessary. Our little bartender got her Vision during a 3-day storm where she helped find her father and then mixed a drink to help numb the pain of her father’s injuries.

What is Character Ascension in Genshin Impact
Each character has a sure level cap depending on their current ascension phase, and a character can be ascended to 6 phases to reach the maximum character level, which is 90. Passive talents and special ascension stats will also be unlocked when a character is ascended to certain phases.
Diona Ascension Materials
Ascending a character will need several items to be used as ascension materials, and for Diona, the materials and the amount needed for each ascension phase are listed below.
Mora: 420,000;
Mora is Genshin Impact’s main currency unit. It is accepted in all the nations of Teyvat and is used to upgrade weapons, artifacts, talents, and character levels.
Hoarfrost Core: 46;
This material is the exposed core of a Cryo Regisvine and can only be obtained by defeating one. You can collect a few of these when you defeat the Cryo Regisvine in its lair south of the Thousand Winds Temple in Mondstadt.
Calla Lily: 168;
This flower is a local specialty of Mondstadt and grows near water sources. When cooked, their petals have a chunky texture, sweet and slightly bitter.
Shivada Jade
These mineral crystals can be obtained from boss enemies manipulating the Cryo element. Boss enemies include the Cryo Regisvine, Cryo Hypostasis, Maguu Kenki, Primo Geovishap, the Bathysmal Vishap Herd, Signora, and Azhdaha.
You can also get these from quest and commission rewards by crafting them using the ones with lower rarity levels.
The amounts needed for each are Shivada Jade Sliver: 1; Shivada Jade Fragments: 9; Shivada Jade Chunks: 9; Shivada Jade Gemstones: 6.
Hilichurl Shooters’ Arrowheads
These are arrowheads from the arrows used by hilichurl shooters. It can be obtained by defeating hilichurl shooters or crafting via the town’s crafting bench. The higher the item’s rarity is, the stronger it is.
The amount needed for each is as follows: Firm Arrowhead: 18; Sharp Arrowhead: 30; Weathered Arrowhead: 36.
Ascension Phases
Ascension Phase 1
This first ascension will be done after the character reaches level 20, and they cannot proceed to the next level without ascending to the next phase. The character level cap will be increased to 40, and their first passive talent will be unlocked. For Diona, it is the Cat’s Tail Secret Menu.
Materials:

- Shivada Jade Sliver – 1;
- Calla Lily – 3;
- Firm Arrowhead – 3;

Ascension Phase 2
Ascension Phase 2 can be reached at character level 40 and will increase the character level cap to 50. After this ascension, the character’s talents can be upgraded or leveled up. Diona will also unlock a special ascension stat on this phase: the Cryo Damage Bonus of 6%.

- Firm Arrowhead – 15;

Ascension Phase 3
After reaching level 50, Diona can ascend to ascension phase 3, increasing her character level cap to 60. The 3rd ascension phase will also increase the Cryo Damage Bonus special stat from 6% to 12%. Additionally, Diona’s combat talents can increase to level 4.

Ascension Phase 4
At level 60, you can ascend Diona to ascension phase 4 and upgrade her character level cap to 70. After ascending, you will unlock Diona’s second Passive Talent, Drunkard’s Farce, and all her Combat Talents can be leveled up to 6.

Ascension Phase 5
The 5th ascension phase can be reached when Diona is at level 70, and ascending will increase her character level cap to 80. Her special ascension stat, Cryo Damage Bonus, will be increased to 18% at this phase. Diona’s combat talents will also have an upgrade to their level cap from 6 to 8.

Ascension Phase 6
Diona’s final ascension phase is at level 80, and it will increase her character level cap to 90. Her special ascension stat, Cryo Damage Bonus, will be increased to 24%, and her combat Talents can now be upgraded to the maximum level of 10.

What are the Talent Level Materials for Diona
Aside from Mora and Hilichurl Shooters’ Arrowheads, you will need a few Shards of a Foul Legacy to increase Diona’s combat talents.
Shard of a Foul Legacy
A Shard of a Foul Legacy was a splinter of Childe’s weapon when he unleashed his Delusion’s might. You can obtain a few of these after defeating Childe or Tartaglia in the Golden House Domain of Memories – The Golden Shadow in Liyue.
Talent Level Book: Freedom
The talent-level books of the “Freedom” series are needed for Diona’s combat talents. You can obtain these by completing the challenge in the Forsaken Rift Domain of Master: Frosted Altar.
These books include The Teachings of Freedom, Guide to Freedom, and The Philosophies of Freedom. The last two can be crafted using the crafting bench in the town.
Crown of Insight
Leveling a combat talent up from level 9 to 10 will need a Crown of Insight, a special item that can only be obtained as a reward from the game’s events.
