Combat is a big portion of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s gameplay. You’ll find yourself challenging enemies for most of the time you play this game.
This means that all of the means of combat are important, this includes dodging too. It can be confusing for new players with the dodging mechanics implemented in Valhalla.
How to Dodge Attacks – Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
Planning your attacks and your dodges will be required if you want to emerge victorious from a battle. Like I said, there are many combat mechanics, so it’s hard for newbies to learn all the tricks in the bag.
To dodge in Valhalla, you need to press Square if you are on PS, or X if you are on Xbox, while moving the analog stick in the direction you want.
Stamina – How it Works
To do certain things in a battle, like dodging, you will have to have stamina. Your stamina is shown in the bottom left corner of the screen. It’s a blue bar, and it serves the purpose to show you how much energy/stamina you have.
Dodging will decrease stamina, so you can’t be jumping around the place effortlessly. However, the stamina will replenish itself once you have completed a successful move.
In other words, after any dodging or successful light attack at the enemy, the stamina will start to refill itself.
Stamina management is one of the most important things you need to learn if you are playing Valhalla. Thankfully, the stamina can replenish itself in combat too.
What Happens When You’re on Low Stamina?
If you are moving around and doing many things quickly, you might decrease the stamina to the point where your character will start to move around very slowly.
Until it regenerates to a point which is deemed appropriate, Eivor will move around very slowly. Make sure to implement stamina management to the things you need to master in Valhalla!
