You’ll find yourself running through open fields and the urban jungle in search of enemies and loot in Warzone.

The Best Warzone MP5 Loadouts and Attachments

As such, you’ll likely want to have something that you can quickly bring to the ready in case you turn a corner and find yourself staring down another player.

The balanced stats of the MP5 makes it a decent weapon for short to mid range engagements. In Warzone however, it’s likely that you’ll be outclassed at medium range by an AR, but at the same time you may have a decent chance with the right loadout.

Let’s take a look at a few of those options here.

Best MP5 – Running and Gunning

  • Barrel: FSS Mini
  • Laser: 5mW Laser
  • Stock: FTAC Collapsible
  • Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape
  • Ammunition: 45 Round Mags

As the name of the loadout says, this attachment setup will allow for the highest mobility. Most useful if you’re wandering around the more urban environments of the Warzone. Get up close and shoot from the hip, as these attachments will increase the recoil, while the 5mW laser will provide much needed hip fire accuracy.

The larger magazine size will help you finish off your target, but you can replace this slot with a 30 Round 10mm if you don’t want to sacrifice mobility while also giving you a bit more stopping power. Alternatively you can slot in the Perk: Frangible Disabling to keep your target in your crosshairs, or a muzzle device if you want a bit more control.

This build is a bit more risky playing alone as you’ll be right in the thick of battle, so stay quick on your feet. Otherwise, this will keep you ahead of the competition, literally.

Perks:

  • Double Time
  • Ghost
  • Tracker

These perks will give you a bit of extra help when you’re sprinting around. Double Time is overall useful because it’s a significant boost to your mobility, especially with the amount of movement speed you’ll have with your MP5. Ghost will allow you to get up close to your targets if they happen to have a UAV or other movement tracking active, and Tracker will help you find them if you don’t have a UAV yourself.

Instead of Ghost, you could also take Restock in that slot if you’d prefer to keep more useful equipment at hand.

Equipment:

  • Claymore/Proximity Mine
  • Stun Grenade

The Claymore or Prox Mine will help you cover places people might be likely to run through, or cover your tracks if you are being chased yourself. Sometimes in their haste, people fail to keep an eye out for explosives such as these, and you might find yourself in a more advantageous position because of it.

The Stun Grenade will keep your enemies in place long enough for you to dump some rounds into them, and also keep them from dumping rounds into you.

If you use Restock over Ghost, you’ll get two mines over time, and you’ll always be able to keep yourself covered.

A Small Rifle

  • Any Optic
  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Ammunition: 45 Round Mags/10mm Auto 30-Round Mags
  • Underbarrel: Ranger Foregrip
  • Rear Grip: Rubberized Grip Tape

If you prefer to have something that works well at range and up close, and don’t care too much about mobility, you could run this loadout. The larger magazine size will help you at range, but you can once again replace this with the 10mm ammunition if you’d prefer a bit more kick. The lower fire rate might also help with accuracy.

The Compensator, Foregrip and Grip Tape are all meant to assist with your recoil control, and it should keep you on target. The optic is up to preference. While there are small stat changes with each optic, you should pick one that you personally prefer. Alternatively, if you’d like to run iron sights, you could put another attachment such as the Classic Straight-line Stock or the FSS Light barrel on.

While the MP5 won’t necessarily outperform other weapon classes at range, this should at least help you do a little damage and keep them down until you or your teammates can retaliate properly.

Perks:

  • Double Time
  • Overkill
  • Tracker

Once again, Double Time is probably the best perk to fit into that slot in Warzone, as the others have limited uses.

In the second slot, Overkill will allow you to take something like a Sniper Rifle or an AR for even longer range engagements, as even with the attachments listed above, you are still at a significant disadvantage against someone else with an AR.

As for the final slot, Tracker is useful once again to keep track of your enemies, but you may also want to use Battle Hardened in order to stay out of sight of Snapshot grenades.

Equipment:

  • Any Lethal
  • Heartbeat Sensor/Snapshot Grenade

The lethal slot is less important here, as you can really use anything depending on if you’d rather play more defensively with traps, or aggressively with a Frag Grenade or Semtex. As for your Tactical Slot, the Heartbeat Sensor and Snapshot Grenade are useful for quickly checking an area for hostiles, but again, these are interchangeable depending on what you’d prefer.

This loadout is more defensive than the first, as you’d be able to more reliably engage at slightly longer distances than normal with an SMG. You could still run and gun, but you wouldn’t be quite as fast as you would be with a build min maxed for speed.

Best of Both Worlds

  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Underbarrel: Merc Foregrip
  • Ammunition: 10mm Auto 30-Round Mags
  • Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape
  • Stock: FTAC Collapsible

If you want to run and gun but still have a decent amount of control over your weapon at medium range, this loadout should sit somewhere between the Running and Gunning and Small Rifle loadout.

The FTAC Collapsible stock gives you the greatest amount of mobility out of all the attachments that do so, and the Merc Foregrip and Compensator would help you compensate for the reduced recoil control from the stock while not impacting your mobility. If you’d prefer to be quiet, then you could replace the Compensator with a suppressor, or the Subsonic Integral Suppressor for a bit more ADS speed.

Both the stock and grip tape will give you additional ADS speed, and the tape will also reduce sprint to fire speed.

Overall this setup will allow for more accurate fire while giving you the mobility to get yourself out of or into trouble in the Warzone.

Perks:

  • Double Time
  • Ghost
  • Tracker

Double time and Tracker have been explained enough, and Ghost once again can be replaced by Overkill if you’d prefer bringing in another weapon modified to your preferences.

Equipment:

  • Claymore/Proximity Mine
  • Heartbeat Sensor

The Claymore/Prox Mine will once again provide you with some line of defense, and the Heartbeat Sensor will help you find your enemies.

Being a loadout in the middleground, this setup for your MP5 should provide you the most benefits while nullifying a good number of the downsides from the shortened stock. You’ll be able to outrun most enemies if they try chasing you down, and with the 10mm Ammo you’ll do a decent amount of damage.

Should You Use an MP5 in Warzone?

If you’re running an SMG, you should be taking a more aggressive approach to combat. If you can get in close, you should be able to down other players quickly with the amount of damage you can dish out quickly.

The MP5 isn’t the best in class for any stat, but it’s reliable enough to pelt your enemies with a storm of bullets. As long as you’re quick on your feet and quick on the draw, you’ll do just fine.
