Pokemon Legends: Arceus is set in olden times in the Pokemon world when it was rare to find harmony between people and Pokemon. Set in the Hisui region, modern-day Sinnoh, you will join the Galaxy Expedition Team (Galaxy Team for short) as a member of the Survey Corps stationed in Jubilife Village. You will be tasked to meet every Hisui Pokemon species to complete the region’s first-ever Pokédex.

How to Catch Eevee and All Its Evolutions in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

In the game, there are certain Pokemon that the player cannot catch or are very hard to catch in the wild. One of the methods to catch these Pokemon is through evolution. One of these Pokemon is Eevee and all of its evolutions, and in this guide, you will learn how to catch Eevee and every single Eeveelution!

Eevee

ffyWk6oKrRImOwR67EAUMecM0CW27aVPG3lcFYoTHRiYeK5Z29M ePUbBqH1EEumZF3GOSPnlCY3he3E1RQvwl5PV6XEnGL bUWYr5AQ3XmbSZ0O qnOo79TbGCqWZyTNUDN6KvC96EJCEnu wJnpw

Eevee can be found in the Obsidian Fieldlands (around Horseshoe Plains), in the Cobalt Coastlands (in Aipom Hill), and in the Alabaster Icelands (near Arena’s Approach and east of Avalugg’s Legacy). Although rare, Eevee may also appear in Space-Time Distortions in the Obsidian Fieldlands, Crimson Mirelands, Coronet Highlands, and the Alabaster Icelands. Eevee can be found in these locations at all times of the day and in every weather condition.

When catching an Eevee, stay hidden in tall grass and approach it as slowly as possible because Eevee is very nimble and will quickly run away once it senses the player. Distracting it with food, catching it by being behind it, and throwing a Poke Ball on its back is probably the best way to catch it.

If you plan on distracting Eevee with food before catching it, it is worth noting that Eevee’s preferred foods are Springy Mushrooms, Hearty Grains, and Plump Beans.

Suppose you plan on battling against Eevee before catching it. In that case, it is also important to mention that Eevee is a Normal-type Pokemon which means that it has a weakness in Fighting-type moves (super effective) and immunity to Ghost-type moves (no effect).

Flareon

Unfortunately, the player cannot find a Flareon in the wild as they can only be found inside Space-Time Distortions in the Crimson Mirelands and the Cobalt Coastlands. Also, like adding salt to injury, it is very rare to find a Flareon in Space-Time Distortions in these areas.

If you do, however, encounter a Flareon in Space-Time Distortions in the areas mentioned and battle against it, it is worth mentioning that Flareon is a Fire-type Pokemon which means it has a weakness to Ground-type, Rock-type, and Water-type moves (super effective) and resistance to the Bug-type, Fairy type, Fire-type, Grass type, Ice-type, and Steel-type moves (not very effective).

However, an easier way of obtaining a Flareon is by evolving Eevee using a Fire Stone.

The player may obtain a Fire Stone by breaking Tumblestone Ores that are shaking. Breaking these shaking ores, however, will result in a Pokemon like Geodude or Graveler popping out and battling the player.

Additionally, the player can purchase a Fire Stone for 5,000 Pokemon Dollars from Ginter at the Gingko Guild Shop in between the Galaxy Hall and the player’s headquarters. However, Ginter will call it a Flame-Patterned Rock. Unfortunately, the items that the Gingko Guild Merchants sell are not the same all the time, so purchasable items may vary. To change the items that Ginter is selling, the player must first catch 20 Pokemon.

The player can also purchase a Fire Stone from the Trading Post near the Training Grounds for 1,000 Merit Points. The player can earn Merit Points by returning lost satchels all over the Hisui region.

Other than that, the player may find some Fire Stones on the ground inside of Space-Time Distortions, so check out the items inside them.

After catching an Eevee and obtaining a Fire Stone, the player can now evolve Eevee into a Flareon! To do that, first, put the player’s Eevee in the Player’s party by talking to the Galaxy Member near the tent on any of the Base Camps and selecting “I want to see my Pokemon” on the prompt, or heading to the Pastures in the eastern part of Jubilife Village. Then, ensure that the Fire Stone is in the player’s Satchel.

If not, the player can access the Item Storage in any of the Base Camps or the Item Storage near the Front Gate in the northeastern part of Jubilife City and move the Fire Stone to the player’s Satchel. Next, return to the game, press the up directional button to open the player’s Satchel, select the Fire Stone, select “Use” on the prompt, then select Eevee from the player’s party, too; well, use the Fire Stone on Eevee. Finally, confirm the prompt to evolve Eevee. Then, just like that, Eevee will evolve into a Flareon!

Vaporeon

Unfortunately, the player cannot find a Vaporeon in the wild as they can only be found inside Space-Time Distortions in the Cobalt Coastlands. Also, like the other Eeveeloutions, it is very rare to find a Vaporeon in Space-Time Distortions in this area.

If you do, however, encounter a Vaporeon in Space-Time Distortions in the areas mentioned and battle against it, it is worth mentioning that Vaporeon is a Water-type Pokemon which means it has a weakness to Electric-type and Grass-type moves (super effective) and resistance to Fire-type, Ice-type, Steel type, and Water-type moves (not very effective).

However, an easier way of obtaining a Vaporeon is by evolving Eevee using a Water Stone.

The player may obtain a Fire Stone by breaking Tumblestone Ores that are shaking in the Crimson Mirelands. As mentioned previously, breaking these shaking ores will result in a Pokemon like Geodude or Graveler popping out and battling the player.

Additionally, the player can purchase a Water Stone for 5,000 Pokemon Dollars from Ginter at the Gingko Guild Shop in between the Galaxy Hall and the player’s headquarters. However, Ginter will call it a Water-Droplet Rock. Again, the items that the Gingko Guild Merchants sell are not the same all the time, so purchasable items may vary.

The player can also purchase a Water Stone from the Trading Post near the Training Grounds for 1,000 Merit Points.

Other than that, the player may also find some Water Stones on the ground inside of Space-Time Distortions.

After catching an Eevee and obtaining a Water Stone, the player can now evolve Eevee into a Vaporeon! To do that, first, put the player’s Eevee in the Player’s party by talking to the Galaxy Member near the tent on any of the Base Camps and selecting “I want to see my Pokemon” on the prompt, or heading to the Pastures in the eastern part of Jubilife Village. Then, ensure that the Water Stone is in the player’s Satchel.

If not, the player can access the Item Storage in any of the Base Camps or the Item Storage near the Front Gate in the northeastern part of Jubilife City and move the Water Stone to the player’s Satchel. Next, return to the game, press the up directional button to open the player’s Satchel, select the Water Stone, select “Use” on the prompt, then select Eevee from the player’s party. Finally, confirm the prompt to evolve Eevee. Then, just like that, Eevee will evolve into a Vaporeon!

Jolteon

The player cannot find a Jolteon in the wild as they can only be found inside Space-Time Distortions in the Coronet Highlands. Also, like the other Eeveelutions, it is very rare to find a Jolteon in Space-Time Distortions in this area.

If you do encounter a Jolteon in Space-Time Distortions in the areas mentioned and battle against it, it is worth mentioning that Jolteon is an Electric-type Pokemon which means it has a weakness to Ground-type moves (super effective) and resistance to Electric-type, Flying-type, and Steel-type moves (not very effective).

However, an easier way of obtaining a Jolteon is by evolving Eevee using a Thunder Stone.

The player can purchase a Thunder Stone for 5,000 Pokemon Dollars from Ginter at the Gingko Guild Shop in between the Galaxy Hall and the player’s headquarters. However, Ginter will call it a Lightning-Bolt Rock. Again, the items that the Gingko Guild Merchants sell are not the same all the time, so purchasable items may vary.

The player can also purchase a Thunder Stone from the Trading Post near the Training Grounds for 1,000 Merit Points.

Other than that, the player may also find some Thunder Stones on the ground inside of Space-Time Distortions.

After catching an Eevee and obtaining a Thunder Stone, the player can now evolve Eevee into a Jolteon! To do that, first, put the player’s Eevee in the Player’s party, make sure that the Thunder Stone is in the player’s Satchel, return to the game, press the up directional button to open the player’s Satchel, select the Thunder Stone, select “Use” on the prompt, then select Eevee from the player’s party. Finally, confirm the prompt to evolve Eevee. Then, just like that, Eevee will evolve into a Jolteon!

The player also cannot find a Leafeon in the wild as they can only be found inside Space-Time Distortions in the Obsidian Fieldlands. Also, like the other Eeveeloutions, it is very rare to find a Leafeon in Space-Time Distortions in this area.

If you do encounter a Leafeon in Space-Time Distortions in the areas mentioned and battle against it, it is worth mentioning that Leafeon is a Grass-type Pokemon which means it has a weakness to the Bug-type, Fire-type, Flying type, Ice type, and Poison type moves (super effective) and resistance to Electric type, Grass type, Ground type, and Water-type moves (not very effective).

Aside from catching one (which could get frustrating because of how rare they are), there are actually two ways to catch a Leafeon: the player can catch a Leafeon by evolving an Eevee near the Moss Rock or by evolving an Eevee using a Leaf Stone.

The Moss Rock can be found in the southeasternmost part of the map of the Obsidian Fieldlands southwest of The Heartwood or west of the Grandtree Arena (refer to the map below for better guidance). Upon arriving in the area, the player will find a large boulder with moss on top. Approach the Mossy Rock and press the A button to investigate. Then a dialogue box will appear and say that touching it feels good somehow.

While near the Moss Rock, the player can evolve Eevee into a Leafeon by pressing the up directional button to open the player’s Satchel, select Eevee from the player’s party, confirm on the prompt to evolve Eevee then, just like that, Eevee will evolve into a Leafeon!

On the other hand, the player may obtain a Leaf Stone by breaking Tumblestone Ores that are shaking in the Coronet Highlands.

Also, the player can purchase a Leaf Stone for 5,000 Pokemon Dollars from Ginter at the Gingko Guild Shop in between the Galaxy Hall and the player’s headquarters. However, Ginter will call it a Leaf Imprint Rock. Again, the items that the Gingko Guild Merchants sell are not the same all the time, so purchasable items may vary.

The player can also purchase a Leaf Stone from the Trading Post near the Training Grounds for 1,000 Merit Points.

Other than that, the player may also find some Leaf Stones on the ground inside of Space-Time Distortions.

After catching an Eevee and obtaining a Leaf Stone, the player can now evolve Eevee into a Leafeon! To do that, first, put the player’s Eevee in the Player’s party, make sure that the Leaf Stone is in the player’s Satchel, return to the game, press the up directional button to open the player’s Satchel, select the Leaf Stone, select “Use” on the prompt, then select Eevee from the player’s party. Finally, confirm the prompt to evolve Eevee. Then, just like that, Eevee will evolve into a Leafeon!

Glaceon

The player cannot find a Glaceon in the wild as they can only be found inside Space-Time Distortions in the Alabaster Icelands. Also it is also very rare to find a Glaceon in Space-Time Distortions in this area.

If you do encounter a Glaceon in Space-Time Distortions in the area mentioned and battle against it, it is worth mentioning that Glaceon is an Ice-type Pokemon which means it has a weakness in Fighting-type, Fire-type, Rock-type, and Steel-type moves (super effective) and resistance to Ice-type moves (not very effective).

Aside from catching one, there are two ways to catch a Glaceon: the player can catch a Glaceon by evolving an Eevee near the Ice Rock or evolving an Eevee using an Ice Stone.

The Ice Rock can be found in an underground cave in the middle of the Alabaster Icelands. The entrance to the cave can be found southwest of Avalugg’s Legacy or northwest of Bonechill Wastes (refer to the map below for better guidance). Upon arriving in the area, head down on the hole on the ground and follow the path where the player will encounter a few Bergmites. Then, the player will find that the path will split into two. Take the path on the right then, at the end of the path, the player will find a large ice boulder. Approach the Ice Rock and press the A button to investigate. Then a dialogue box will appear and say that touching it could make you freeze.

While near the Ice Rock, the player can evolve Eevee into a Glaceon by pressing the up directional button to open the player’s Satchel, select Eevee from the player’s party, confirm on the prompt to evolve Eevee then, just like that, Eevee will evolve into a Glaceon!

On the other hand, the player may also obtain an Ice Stone by breaking Tumblestone Ores that are shaking in the Coronet Highlands.

Also, the player can purchase an Ice Stone for 5,000 Pokemon Dollars from Ginter at the Gingko Guild Shop in between the Galaxy Hall and the player’s headquarters. However, Ginter will call it a Snow-Patterned Rock. Again, the items that the Gingko Guild Merchants sell are not the same all the time, so purchasable items may vary.

The player can also purchase an Ice Stone from the Trading Post near the Training Grounds for 1,000 Merit Points.

Additionally, the player may also find some Ice Stones on the ground inside of Space-Time Distortions, so make sure to check out the items inside them.

After catching an Eevee and obtaining an Ice Stone, the player can now evolve Eevee into a Glaceon! Simply put Eevee in the Player’s party, make sure that the Ice Stone is in the player’s Satchel, return to the game, press the up directional button to open the player’s Satchel, select the Ice Stone, and select “Use” on the prompt, then select Eevee from the player’s party. Finally, confirm the prompt to evolve Eevee. Then, just like that, Eevee will evolve into a Glaceon!

Sylveon

The player also cannot find a Sylveon in the wild as they can only be found inside Space-Time Distortions in the Obsidian Fieldlands and the Coronet Highlands. Also it is also very rare to find a Sylveon in Space-Time Distortions in these areas.

If you do encounter a Sylveon in Space-Time Distortions in the areas mentioned and battle against it, it is worth mentioning that Sylveon is a Fairy-type Pokemon which means it has a weakness to Poison-type and Steel-type moves (super effective), a resistance to the Bug-type, Dark type, and Fighting-type moves (not very effective), and immunity to Dragon-type moves (no effect).

Another way of catching a Sylveon is by evolving an Eevee. To do that, the player’s Eevee must first have a High Friendship Level and know a Fairy-type move.

To increase a Pokemon’s Friendship Level, the player should keep the Pokemon in the player’s party, use the Pokemon in battles, not let the Pokemon faint in battle, and use the Pokemon to gather materials from trees and ores.

To check your Pokemon’s Friendship Level, simply head on to the Friendship Checker named Belamy, which can be found a little bit south of the Pastures in the eastern part of Jubilife Village (Belamy is the man dressed in blue). However, it is important to note that the Friendship Checker is not available right at the start of the game.

To unlock the Friendship Checker, the player must first complete the “Measuring Your Compatibility” Request (request 28). After that, the player can now talk to Belamy and select the Pokemon you want to check for the Friendship Level. The following is the actual Friendship Level based on Belamy’s Description:

Friendship LevelBelamy’s Description
Base Friendship“[Your Pokemon] seems leery of you yet. New to the team, perhaps?”
Low“I suppose [your Pokemon]’s become a bit friendly toward you, but you’ve a ways to go…”
Mid“[Your Pokemon] seems to get on well with you. But I’m sure it could get on better!”
High“You and [your Pokemon] seem to be fast friends. You must be quite good companions!”
Highest“What an excellent pair of friends you and [your Pokemon] make. You must mean a lot to each other!”

As for Eevee, the player’s Eevee must be on the High or Highest Friendship Level to evolve to Sylveon.

The other requirement to evolve Eevee into Sylveon is that the player’s Eevee should know a Fairy-type move. To change moves, simply press the up button to open Satchel and party menu, select the player’s Eevee, and select ‘Change Moves’ on the prompt. If, for some reason, the player’s Eevee has not learned any Fairy-type move, simply head to Captain Zisu in the Training Ground in the northwest part of Jubilife Village to learn some.

Once the player’s Eevee has a High Friendship Level and knows a Fairy-type move, the player can evolve Eevee into a Sylveon! To do that, simply press the up directional button to open the player’s Satchel, select Eevee from the player’s party, select Evolve on the prompt, and confirm on the prompt to evolve Eevee. Then, just like that, Eevee will evolve into a Sylveon!

Espeon

The player cannot find an Espeon in the wild as they can only be found inside Space-Time Distortions in the Alabaster Icelands. Also it is also very rare to find an Espeon in Space-Time Distortions in this area

If you do encounter an Espeon in Space-Time Distortions in the area mentioned and battle against it, it is worth mentioning that Espeon is a Psychic type Pokemon which means it has a weakness to the Bug-type, Dark type, and Ghost-type moves (super effective) and resistance to Fighting type and Psychic-type moves (not very effective).

Another way of catching an Espeon is by evolving an Eevee. To do that, the player’s Eevee must first have a High Friendship Level, and the player must evolve it during the day.

As previously mentioned, the player can raise a Pokemon’s Friendship level by keeping the Pokemon on the player’s party, using the Pokemon in battles, not letting the Pokemon faint in battle, and using the Pokemon to gather materials from trees and ores. The player’s Eevee must be on the High (“You and [your Pokemon] seem to be fast friends. You must be quite good companions!”) or Highest (“What an excellent pair of friends you and [your Pokemon] make. You must mean a lot to each other!”) Friendship Level to evolve to Espeon.

The other requirement to evolve Eevee into Espeon is that the player should try to evolve Eevee during the day. To change the time of day, simply sleep in the tent or by talking to the Galaxy Member in any of the Base Camps, or by sleeping in the player’s quarters on the right side of the Gingko Guild Shop in Jubilife Village.

Before trying to evolve Eevee into Espeon, make sure to check if Eevee has any Fairy-type moves, as evolving an Eevee with a Fairy-type move will evolve into a Sylveon. If the player’s Eevee has a Fairy-type move, simply remove it from its moveset by pressing the up directional button to open the Satchel and party, select the Eevee, and select ‘Change Moves’ on the prompt.

Once all the requirements (at least High Friendship Level and daytime) have been met, the player can now evolve Eevee into an Espeon! To do that, simply press the up directional button to open the player’s Satchel, select Eevee from the player’s party, select Evolve on the prompt, and confirm on the prompt to evolve Eevee. Then, just like that, Eevee will evolve into an Espeon!

Umbreon

The player also cannot find an Umbreon in the wild as they can only be found inside Space-Time Distortions in the Crimson Mirelands. Also it is also very rare to find an Espeon in Space-Time Distortions in this area

Suppose you do encounter an Umbreon in Space-Time Distortions in the area mentioned and battle against it. In that case, it is worth mentioning that Espeon is a Dark type Pokemon which means it has a weakness to the Bug-type, Fairy type, and Fighting-type moves (super effective), a resistance to Ghost-type and Dark-type moves (not very effective), and immunity to Psychic-type moves (no effect).

Another way of catching an Umbreon is by evolving an Eevee. To do that, the player’s Eevee must first have a High Friendship Level, and the player must evolve it during the night.

As mentioned, the player can raise a Pokemon’s Friendship level by keeping the Pokemon on the player’s party, using the Pokemon in battles, not letting the Pokemon faint in battle, and using the Pokemon to gather materials from trees and ores. The player’s Eevee must be on the High (“You and [your Pokemon] seem to be fast friends. You must be quite good companions!”) or Highest (“What an excellent pair of friends you and [your Pokemon] make. You must mean a lot to each other!”) Friendship Level to evolve to Umbreon.

The other requirement to evolve Eevee into Umbreon is that the player should try to evolve Eevee during the night. To change the time of day, simply sleep in the tent, talk to the Galaxy Member in any of the Base Camps, or sleep in the player’s quarters on the right side of the Gingko Guild Shop in Jubilife Village.

Again, before trying to evolve Eevee into Umbreon, make sure to check if Eevee has any Fairy-type moves, as evolving an Eevee with a Fairy-type move will evolve into a Sylveon. If the player’s Eevee has a Fairy-type move, simply remove it from its moveset by pressing the up directional button to open the Satchel and party, select the Eevee, and select ‘Change Moves’ on the prompt.

Once all the requirements have been met (at least High Friendship Level and nighttime), the player can now evolve Eevee into an Umbreon! To do that, simply press the up directional button to open the player’s Satchel, select Eevee from the player’s party, select Evolve on the prompt, and confirm on the prompt to evolve Eevee. Then, just like that, Eevee will evolve into an Umbreon!

Now that the player has an Eevee and all the other Eeveelutions, the player can try to use these Pokemon to complete other requests, missions, or Arceus’ tasks for the player, which is to catch ‘em all!
