Pokemon Legends: Arceus is set in olden times in the Pokemon world when it was rare to find harmony between people and Pokemon. Set in the Hisui region, modern-day Sinnoh, you will join the Galaxy Expedition Team (Galaxy Team for short) as a member of the Survey Corps stationed in Jubilife Village. You will be tasked to meet every Hisui Region Pokemon to complete the region’s first-ever Pokédex.
The Galaxy Team will task the player to do missions in the game. Various people will also ask for help from the player in the form of requests. One of these requests is Request 84, titled ‘Snow-White Vulpix in the Snow.’ This guide will teach you how to complete the ‘The Bergmite Enthusiast’ request.
The Bergmite Enthusiast
To unlock this request, the player must first unlock the Hisuian Braviary as a rideable Pokemon which is part of the ‘The Slumbering Lord of the Tundra’ Mission, the twelfth mission in the game where the player must quell a frenzied Noble Hisuian Avalugg.
After doing the requirements mentioned above, you can now start this request! To do that, head on a little bit south of the Pearl Settlement in the Alabaster Icelands, and on the side of the path that leads to the Pearl Settlement, you will find a woman in Pearl Clan clothing named Dominia. Talk to her, and she will ask the player if the player has been studying about her dear beloved Bergmite.
Then, after the player confirms the prompt, Dominia will be angry and say that she cannot allow that because she does not want the player to know more about Bergmite than she does, as she is convinced that nobody loves or understands Bergmite more than she does.
Then, she will tell the player to show her Bergmite’s Pokedex entry once the player has completed it, as she wants to ensure that she has not missed any details about Bergmite being that she is Bergmite’s number one fan in all of Hisui. Then, just like that, ‘The Bergmite Enthusiast’ Request has started!
To complete this request, all the player has to do is to complete the Pokedex entry for Bergmite. This can be done by accomplishing Research Tasks. But, first, you have to know where to find some Bergmite.
A lot of Bergmite can be found around Avalugg’s Legacy, Arena’s Approach, and Bonechill Wastes in the Alabaster Icelands. Bergmite can be found in these areas at all times of the day and in every weather condition.
Now that you know where to find some Bergmite, the next thing to do is get Bergmite’s Pokedex entry to Research Level 10 by accomplishing Research Tasks. You can immediately complete Bergmite’s Pokedex entry by feeding it food three times and catching a Bergmite six times.
This can immediately complete Bergmite’s Pokedex entry fast because catching a Bergmite for the first, third, and sixth time raises the Research Level by two for those times, and feeding a Bergmite food for the first and third time also raises the Research Level by two for those times which will result to Research Level 10.
It is worth mentioning that Bergmite’s preferred foods are Dazzling Honey, Hearty Grains, Plump Beans, and Crunchy Salts.
Suppose you decide to battle against Bergmite before catching it. In that case, it is important to note that Bergmite is an Ice-type Pokemon which means it has a weakness against Fighting-type, Fire-type, Rock-type, and Steel-type moves (super effective) and resistance to Ice-type moves (not very effective).
After accomplishing enough Research Tasks, head back to the Base Camp and talk to Professor Laventon to update your Pokedex. Then, once you have completed Bergmite’s Pokedex entry by getting it to Research Level 10, head back to Dominia, still a little bit south of the Pearl Settlement in the Alabaster Icelands, and talk to her.
Dominia will then be surprised that the player has completed Bergmite’s Pokedex entry, to which she will then be torn if she wants to look. She will then give in and decide to look and learn things about Bergmite that she did not know before. Dominia will then compliment the player that they did a good job and that she liked how the player noted Bergmite’s height and weight.
She will say that Bergmite’s completed Pokedex entry shows that the player passionately got to know and study many of Bergmite. Dominia will then act as if she already knew all about Bergmite even before the player showed her the completed Pokedex entry, but she will say that she enjoyed reading it. Finally, she will reward the player with three Grit Pebbles for your efforts.
Now that you have completed ‘The Bergmite Enthusiast’ request, you can now try to complete other requests, complete missions, or complete Arceus’ task for you, which is to catch ’em all!
