Pokemon Legends: Arceus is set in olden times in the Pokemon world when it was rare to find harmony between people and Pokemon. Set in the Hisui region, modern-day Sinnoh, you will join the Galaxy Expedition Team (Galaxy Team for short) as a member of the Survey Corps stationed in Jubilife Village. You will be tasked to meet every Hisui region Pokemon to complete the region’s first-ever Pokédex.
The Galaxy Team will task the player to do missions in the game. Additionally, various people will also request help from the player. One of these requests is Request 70, titled the ‘Colorful New Looks.’ This guide will teach you how to complete the ‘Colorful New Looks’ request.
Colorful New Looks
To unlock this request, the player must first receive ‘The Slumbering Lord of the Tundra’ Mission, the twelfth mission in the game where the player must quell a frenzied Noble Hisuian Avalugg. Additionally, the player must also complete the ‘Fancy, Fashionable Wormadam’ Request (request 63) from Anthe at the Clothier in Jubilife Village.
After doing the requirements mentioned above, you can now start this request! Go to the Clothier just across the player’s assigned quarters and talk to the merchant in the purple kimono named Anthe. Talk to her, and she will tell the player that the color of your clothing makes all the difference. After confirming her opinion, she will say she thinks the player would like to dress in their favorite color.
So, she will say that she wants to make clothing in new colors, but she can not get the right materials. Anthe will then ask the player to give her one of the players who has Red Shards, Blue Shards, and Green Shards. After that, the ‘Colorful New Looks’ Request started!
To complete this request, the player must give Anthe one Red Shard, one Blue Shard, and one Green Shard. Now it is time to find these shards!
The Red, Blue, and Green Shards can be found lying around on the ground inside Space-Time Distortions. They appear in the Obsidian Fieldlands, the Crimson Mirelands, the Cobalt Coastlands, the Coronet Highlands, and the Alabaster Icelands. A Space-Time Distortion will appear once the player stays in one zone long enough. Once a Space-Time Distortion appears, the player will see an announcement for the Space-Time Distortion.
Once a Space-Time Distortion appears, the player can find its location by looking for the vortex icon on the map. It is worth mentioning that powerful Pokemon spawn inside Space-Time Distortions, so be careful and bring strong Pokemon with you.
After obtaining one Red Shard, one Blue Shard, and one Green Shard, head back to Anthe, still in the Clothier just across the player’s assigned quarters, talk to her, on the prompt select ‘About your request…’, then confirm on the prompt to give her the crafting materials. After that, Anthe will immediately use the crafting materials to create dye by cooking it in a cauldron. The screen will then fade to black, and after it fades back, Anthe will say that the colors are more beautiful than she imagined. Finally, Anthe will thank the player, and she has added new items in her lineup, which the player can check out after talking to her!
Now that you have completed the ‘Colorful New Looks’ Request, you can try to complete other requests, complete missions, or complete Arceus’ task for you, which is to catch ’em all!
