How to Complete the “Croagunk’s Curative Poison” Request (Request 34) in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

Pokemon Legends: Arceus is set in the old times in the Pokemon world at a time when it was rare to find harmony between people and Pokemon. Set in the Hisui region, modern-day Sinnoh, you will join the Galaxy Expedition Team (or just Galaxy Team) as a member of the Survey Corps stationed in Jubilife Village. You will be tasked to meet every species of Pokémon from the Hisui region to complete the region’s first-ever Pokédex.

Croagunk’s Curative Poison

To unlock this request, the player must first receive the ‘A New Mission’ mission which is the ninth mission of the game. After quelling the Lady of the Ridge Liligant’s frenzy, the player must go back to Commander Kamado and report the player’s success. Additionally, to unlock the ‘Croagunk’s Curative Poison’ request, the player must also have Croagunk added to their Pokedex.

After doing the requirements mentioned, you can now start this request! To do just that, head on to the Galaxy Hall and proceed to Professor Laventon’s room on the left side of Captain Cyntelle’s office. In Professor Laventon’s room, you will find a blackboard just behind Professor Laventon himself. There are a few requests on this blackboard that the player can take on. Read what’s on the blackboard, and on the prompt, select the ‘Croagunk’s Curative Poison’ request. And, just like that, the request has started!

According to the request description, Captain Pesselle of the Medical Corps can create medicine using poison obtained from a Croagunk. To complete this request, this is what the player must do:

1. First, head out of Professor Laventon’s office and head to the Medical Corps’ office on the right side of Captain Cyllene’s office. There, you will find Pesselle near her desk. Talk to Pesselle, and she will tell the player that a member of the Diamond Clan has said to her that they can make medicine by diluting Croagunk’s poison which can relieve pain in the lower back. She will then say that she would love to give some of that medicine to Buck, who is bedridden because of the back pain. As she knows how to make the medicine, all she needs now is Croagunk’s poison. So, she will ask the player to head to the Crimson Mirelands and catch one Croagunk for her.
2. Next, the player has to give Captain Pesselle a Croagunk. If you have a Croagunk, you are willing to give up. Then you can talk to Pesselle again and give her the Croagunk. If you do not have one you are willing to give up, Croagunk can be found in ​​Gapejaw Bog, Scarlet Bog, and Holm of Trials in the Crimson Mirelands and Ancient Quarry in the Coronet Highlands. They can be found in these locations at all times of day and in every weather condition. It is worth mentioning that Croagunks are very aggressive, and they will attack once they see the player, so make sure you sneak up on them carefully, or, worst-case scenario, be ready to battle them. If you do not want to go near them, Feather Balls will help as they have a long throwing distance.
3. After catching a Croagunk, head back to Pesselle still in the Medical Corps office on the right side of Captain Cyllene’s office in the Galaxy Hall. Talk to her and select the Croagunk you want to give her on the prompt. It is important to mention that the player would not be able to retrieve the Croagunk once you have given it to Pesselle, so make sure only to provide her with the Croagunk you are willing to give up. After giving her the Croagunk, Pesselle would then ask the Croagunk for a smidgen of its poison which the Croagunk would then oblige. Then, Pesselle will start making the medicine. After making the medicine, which Pesselle says is super effective, she will then say that she believes they would be able to help more people and Pokemon if there were some aid facility where Pokemon and people worked side by side. While she is talking, Buck, the bedridden man because of back pain, will scream in pain and ask for Pesselle. Pesselle will come to his aid and give him the medicine she just cooked up. She will thank the player for helping her and reward you with three Full Heals and five Exp. Candy S.
