Pokemon Legends: Arceus is set in olden times in the Pokemon world at a time when it was rare to find harmony between people and Pokemon. Set in the Hisui region, modern-day Sinnoh, you will join the Galaxy Expedition Team (Galaxy Team for short) as a member of the Survey Corps stationed in Jubilife Village. You will be tasked to meet every Hisui Pokemon species to complete the region’s first-ever Pokédex.

How to Complete the “Lilligant’s Path of Solitude” Request (Request 120) in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

The Galaxy Team will task the player to do missions in the game. Various people will also ask for help from the player in the form of requests. One of these requests is Request 120, titled “Lilligant’s Path of Solitude.” This guide will teach you how to complete the “Lilligant’s Path of Solitude” request.

Lilligant’s Path of Solitude

To unlock this request, the player must first complete the “Massive Mass Outbreak in the Icelands” request (request 101) and the ‘Daybreak’ request (request 102), where the player must investigate the massive mass outbreaks in the Alabaster Icelands and complete the Daybreak DLC, and complete request 108 to 117, the first batch of Path of Solitude Requests, from Gared in the Training Grounds.

After doing the requirements mentioned above, you can now start this request! To do that, complete the last one of the first batch of the Path of Solitude requests, then head on to the Training Grounds in the northwest of the Jubilife Village. On the left side of the building (or behind Ingo), the player will find Gared, a member of the Security Corps. Talk to Gared, and he will say that it was a thrill to see the player’s pokemon best the Path of Solitude like that. After that, he will reward the player for completing the previous request. Then, after a slight pause, he will nod and say that with the player’s skills, he knew that the player could do it, then tell the player to try these new and incredibly tough challenges. Then, a new bunch of Path of Solitude requests will start, and one of them is the “Lilligant’s Path of Solitude” Request!

To complete this request, the player must defeat Ingo and his Hisuian Braviary in the Path of Solitude with only a Hisuian Lilligant in the player’s party.

Before talking to Ingo to start the Path of Solitude, ensure that the player has a Hisuian Lilligant above Level 85, as the player would have to battle Ingo’s Level 80 Hisuian Braviary.

Unfortunately, the player will not be able to catch a Hisuian Lilligant in the wild as Hisuian Lilligant can only be acquired by evolving a Petilil using a Sun Stone.

The player can find a Petilil north of Cottonsedge Prairie and slightly northeast of the Holm of Trials in the Crimson Mirelands. The player can find a Petilil in these locations at all times of the day and in every weather condition. If you plan on distracting it with food before catching it, it is worth mentioning that Petilil’s preferred foods are Springy Mushrooms and Crunchy Salts.

Suppose you plan on battling Petilil first before catching it. In that case, it is worth noting that Petilil is a Grass-type Pokemon which means it has a weakness to the Bug-type, Fire type, Flying type, Ice-type, Poison-type moves (super effective) and resistance to Electric type, Grass type, Ground type, and Water-type moves (not very effective).

Now that the player has caught a Petilil, all that is needed to evolve a Petilil to a Hisuian Lilligant is a Sun Stone. Sun Stone may be obtained by digging up treasure buried on the ground by riding the rideable Ursaluna (however, the locations where Ursaluna can dig up Sun Stone are random) and may be obtained by breaking Tumblestone Ores that are shaking (breaking these shaking ores, however, will result in a Pokemon like Geodude or Graveler to pop out and battle the player), may be purchased from Ginter at the Gingko Guild Shop (in between the Galaxy Hall and the player’s headquarters), which he will call Sunlike Rock, for 5,000 Pokemon Dollars (the items that the Gingko Guild Merchants sell are not the same all the time so purchasable items may vary. To change the items that Ginter is selling, the player must first catch 20 Pokemon), may be purchased from the Trading Post near the Training Grounds for 1,000 Merit Points (The player can earn Merit Points by returning lost satchels all over the Hisui region), or may be picked up from the ground inside Space-Time Distortions. Out of all the methods mentioned, the easiest way to obtain a Sun Stone is by purchasing it from the Trading Post for 1,000 Merit Points.

After catching a Petilil and obtaining a Sun Stone, the player can now evolve Petilil into a Hisuian Lilligant!

It is recommended that the player’s Hisuian Lilligant has a Nature that boosts Attack, like Adamant. Then, the player can boost Hisuian Lilligant’s Effort Levels, focusing on boosting the Hisuian Lilligant’s Attack, Defense, HP, and Speed, using Grit items.

As for Hisuian Lilligant’s moves, it is recommended to let the player’s Hisuian Lilligant learn and use Victory Dance, which is a Fighting type status move that raises the user’s offensive and defensive stats and increases the damage dealt by the user’s moves by 50 percent, and Giga Impact, which is a powerful Normal-type physical attack. It will also help if the player’s Hisuian Lilligant has Stun Spore, a Grass-type status move that paralyzes the opposing Pokemon.

After training your Hisuian Lilligant and letting it learn the recommended moves, head to Ingo on the left side of Captain Zisu in the Training Grounds and talk to him. Select the ‘Path of Solitude’ on the prompt, and select ‘Accept the challenge’ on the next prompt. After that, select ‘Begin’ on the next prompt, and the player can now begin the challenge! Then Ingo will let you choose one Pokemon, so put your Hisuian Lilligant in the party and remove all the other Pokemon so that the player will only use Hisuian Lilligant.

It is worth noting that Ingo’s Hisuian Braviary is a Level 80 Psychic and Flying type Pokemon which means it has a weakness to Dark type, Electric type, Ghost type, Ice type, and Rock-type moves (super effective), a resistance to Grass type, Psychic type, and especially Fighting-type moves, and immunity to Ground-type moves (no effect). Ingo’s HIsuian Braviary may use Aerial Ace, a Flying-type physical attack that never misses, and Esper Wing, a Psychic type special attack that raises the user’s attack speed and has a heightened chance of landing a critical hit. It is worth mentioning that these moves are super effective against Hisuian Lilligant (Flying-type moves are four times as effective, and Psychic-type moves are two times as effective against Hisuian Lilligant), which is why it is recommended to raise Hisuian Lilligant’s HP and Defense Effort Levels.

Check the request description, and it will give a tip to let the player’s Hisuian Lilligant dance to usher in victory. Let the player’s Hisuian Lilligant use Victory Dance to boost the Lilligant’s offensive and defensive stats and raise its damage output by 50 percent. So, in battle, use Victory Dance for Lilligant’s first move, survive any of Ingo’s Hisuian Braviary’s attacks, then, on the player’s next move, let Hisuian Lilligant use Giga Impact in Strong Style to deal with major damage on Ingo’s Pokemon. If the player’s Hisuian Lilligant is strong enough, this will most likely be enough to defeat Ingo’s Hisuian Braviary. To make the battle easier, the player can let the Hisuian Lilligant use Stun Spore for the very first turn to paralyze Ingo’s Hisuian Braviary so that there will be a chance that it cannot attack due to paralysis.

After defeating Ingo’s Hisuian Braviary, Ingo will say that the player’s Hisuian Lilligant has reached the final station on its Path to Solitude and that he has added a mark on Hisuian Lilligant’s page in the Pokedex that signifies its victory. Then, Ingo will reward the player with three Exp. Candy L as a prize for having completed the Path of Solitude.

Afterward, head back to Gared, still near Ingo, and talk to him. Gared will say that it was a thrill to see the player’s Pokemon best the Path of Solitude like that. Then, finally, the player will be rewarded with one Seed of Mastery and one Exp. Candy XL, for your efforts and the “Lilligant’s Path of Solitude” Request, is now completed!

Now that you have completed the ‘Lilligant’s Path of Solitude’ Request, you can now try to complete other requests, complete missions, or complete Arceus’ task for you, which is to catch ’em all!
