Pokemon Legends: Arceus takes place in the old times in the Pokemon world. It was a time when finding harmony between people and Pokemon was rare. Set in the land of the Hisui region, modern day Sinnoh region, you join the Galaxy Expedition Team (Galaxy Team for short) as a member of the Survey Corps stationed in Jubilife Village. You are tasked to meet every species of Pokémon from the Hisui region to complete the area’s first-ever Pokédex. The game also introduces crafting to the world of Pokemon, wherein you can create items using materials that you can find in the overworld. This makes sense for the time it is set in as people likely also crafted their things during that era.

How to Complete the Mushroom Cake Marketing Request (Request 6) in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

The Galaxy Team gives the player missions that need to be completed in the game. Additionally, various people also ask the player for help in the form of requests. One of these requests is Request 6, ‘Mushroom Cake Marketing.’ This guide will teach you how to complete the Mushroom Cake Marketing request.

To unlock this request, the player must first complete the Request from Mai mission, the fifth mission of the game. It entails the player visiting the Training Grounds and battling Akari or Rei for the first time. After that, the player can go to Obsidian Fieldlands. On the right side of Fieldlands Camp and up a small hill, you can find a man dressed in green named Morel. Talk to Morel, and he will tell you that he wants to show off to everyone a crafting recipe he came up with using mushrooms. With this, he will ask the player to fetch him a Springy Mushroom to craft the recipe.

To complete this request, you must find a Springy Mushroom. This can be found in Nature’s Pantry in the center island of Obsidian Fieldlands. You can find this area to the south of the Heights Camp or southwest of Windswept Run. You can find a Springy Mushroom under a tree when you are there. It is important to note that this Springy Mushroom will respawn every time the player leaves and reenters the area.

It is also possible to obtain a Springy Mushroom by defeating or catching a Pokemon, specifically a Paras. Paras can also be found in Nature’s Pantry in the center island of Obsidian Fieldlands. The said Pokemon is also found in the Golden Lowlands, Cottonsedge Prairie, Diamond Heath, and Cloudpool Ridge in the Crimson Mirelands, near Windbreak Stand in the Cobalt Coast, Heavenward Lookout, and Wayward Wood in the Coronet Highlands. However, the most accessible place to find him is Nature’s Pantry in Obsidian Fieldlands, as this request is made early on in the game, and it is the area closest to Morel. If you decide to battle against a Paras, bear in mind that it is a Bug and Grass-type Pokemon, which means it is fragile against Fire and Flying-type Pokemon or moves. Bug, Ice, Poison, and Rock-type Pokemon or moves can also be effective against Paras but not as effective as Fire or Flying-type.

After obtaining a Springy Mushroom, go back to Morel near the Obsidian Fieldlands Base Camp, give him the Springy Mushroom, and he will craft a Mushroom Cake. Morel will give you five Cake-Lure Bases and reward you with the crafting recipe for his Mushroom Cake for your efforts! This can then be used to lure wild Pokemon to catch them.
