Pokemon Legends: Arceus is set in olden times in the Pokemon world when it was rare to find harmony between people and Pokemon. Set in the Hisui region, modern-day Sinnoh, you will join the Galaxy Expedition Team (Galaxy Team for short) as a member of the Survey Corps stationed in Jubilife Village. You will be tasked to meet every species of Pokémon from the Hisui region to complete the region’s first-ever Pokédex.

How to Complete “The Pokemon in the Nighttime Photo” Request (Request 44) in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

The Galaxy Team will task the player to do missions in the game. Additionally, various people will also ask for help from the player via requests. One of these requests is Request 44, titled ‘The Pokemon in the Nighttime Photo.’ This guide will teach you how to complete ‘The Pokemon in the Nighttime Photo’ request.

The Pokemon in the Nighttime Photo

To unlock this request, the player must first receive the ‘A New Mission’ mission which is the ninth mission of the game. After quelling the Lady of the Ridge Liligant’s frenzy, the player must go back to Commander Kamado and report the player’s success. Additionally, the player must also complete ‘The Pokemon in the Woodland Photo request’ (Request 25) from Dagero at the Photography Studio in Jubilife Village.

After doing the requirements mentioned, you can now start this request! To do just that, head to the Photography Studio near the Item Storage and the Front Gate of Jubilife Village. Outside the Photography Studio, you will find the owner in green clothes named Dagero. Talk to him, and he will ask the player for help again on another task. He will then show the player a photo and say that the Pokemon in the photo was so close to him that he had no idea it was there when he took the photo. Because of the photo, he can not tell if it is a Pokemon or something else entirely. He will then say to the player that he would love to see it if the player recognizes the thing in the photo as some Pokemon that exists. Then, like that, the ‘The Pokemon in the Nighttime Photo’ Request has started!

The Pokemon in the photo that Dagero showed is a Duskull, so to complete this request, the player must catch a Duskull and show it to Dagero. Now it is time to find a Duskull!

Duskull can be found in the Cobalt Coastlands (in Deadwood Haunt) and the Alabaster Icelands (around Avalanche Slopes and Arena’s Approach). Duskull can be found in these locations at night and in all weather conditions.

Suppose you decide to battle the Duskull before catching it. In that case, it is also worth mentioning that Duskull is a Ghost-type Pokemon with a weakness to Ghost-type and Dark-type moves (super effective), a resistance to Bug-type and Poison-type moves (not very effective), and immunity to Normal-type and Fighting-type moves (does not affect Ghost-type Pokemon like Duskull).

Duskull’s preferred foods are Springy Mushrooms and Plump Beans if you decide to distract it with food.

After catching a Duskull, head back to Jubilife Village and go inside the Photography Studio. Talk to Dagero, select ‘About that request you had..’ on the prompt, select ‘I think I’ve got the Pokemon you wanted,’ and select the Duskull you just caught. Dagero will confirm that this Duskull is indeed the Pokemon from the photo, and now that he has seen a clear example of the real thing, he wants to get a proper shot. The screen will then fade to black for a moment, and when it comes back, Dagero will admit that he is relieved to know that it was a Pokemon in the photo, and he is glad he could take a photo of it. After that, the ‘The Pokemon in the Nighttime Photo’ request is completed, and there will be new options added to the Photography Studio!

Now that you have completed ‘The Pokemon in the Nighttime Photo’ Request, you can now try to complete other requests, complete missions, or complete Arceus’ task for you, which is to catch ‘em all!
