Pokemon Legends: Arceus is set in olden times in the Pokemon world when it was rare to find harmony between people and Pokemon. Set in the land of the Hisui region, modern-day Sinnoh, you will join the Galaxy Expedition Team (Galaxy Team for short) as a member of the Survey Corps stationed in Jubilife Village. You will be tasked to meet every Hisui Pokemon species to complete the region’s first-ever Pokédex.

How to Complete “The Pokemon in the River Photo” Request (Request 62) in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

The Galaxy Team will task the Player to do missions in the game. Additionally, various people will also ask for help from the Player in the form of requests. One of these requests is Request 62, titled ‘The Pokemon in the River Photo.’ This guide will teach you how to complete ‘The Pokemon in the River Photo’ request.

The Pokemon in the River Photo

To unlock this request, the Player must first accept the ‘Scaling Perilous Heights’ mission, the eleventh mission in the game where the Player must quell a frenzied Noble Hisuian Electrode. Additionally, the Player must also complete The Pokemon in the Nighttime Photo request (Request 43) from Dagero at the Photography Studio in Jubilife Village.

After doing the requirements mentioned, you can now start this request! To do just that, head to the Photography Studio near the Item Storage and the Front Gate of Jubilife Village. Outside the Photography Studio, you will find the owner in green clothes named Dagero. Talk to him, and he will thank the Player for your help last time, then he will ask the Player for help again on another task.

He will then show the Player a photo and say that he thought it was just a normal landscape photo, but after taking a closer look, he noticed that there is something odd about the pair of leaves in the foreground of the image, which he thinks is a Pokemon but he has no proof that it is. He will then tell the player that he would love to see it if the Player recognizes the thing in the photo so he can compare. Then, just like that, The Pokemon in the River Photo Request has started!

The Pokemon in the photo that Dagero showed is a Turtwig, so to complete this request, the Player must catch a Turtwig and show it to Dagero. Now it is time to find a Turtwig!

Turtwig can be found south of Droning Meadow or east of Ursa’s Ring in the Crimson Mirelands. Turtwig can be found in this location and every weather condition.

Suppose you decide to battle the Turtwig before catching it. In that case, it is also worth mentioning that Turtwig is a Grass-type Pokemon with a weakness to Bug-type, Fire-type, Flying-type, Ice-type, and Poison-type moves (super effective) and resistance to Electric-type, Grass-type, Ground-type, and Water-type moves (not very effective).

Turtwig’s preferred foods are Dazzling Honey, Hearty Grains, and Plump Beans if you decide to distract it with food.

After catching a Turtwig, head back to Jubilife Village and go inside the Photography Studio. Talk to Dagero, select ‘About that request you had..’ on the prompt, select “I think I’ve got the Pokemon you wanted,” and select the Turtwig you just caught. Dagero will confirm that this Turtwig is indeed the Pokemon from the photo, and he wants to get a proper shot to commemorate this discovery.

The screen will then fade to black for a moment, and when it comes back, Dagero will say that this has been such a learning experience for him as he has been able to hone his eye as a photographer thanks to these little puzzles. However, he still wants to see and photograph even more different Pokemon.

He will then ask the Player to keep bringing your Pokemon by to take more photographs in the studio if the Player is open to it. After that, the ‘The Pokemon in the River Photo’ request is completed, and there will be new options added to the Photography Studio!

Now that you have completed ‘The Pokemon in the River Photo’ Request, you can try to complete other requests, complete missions, or complete Arceus’ task for you, which is to catch ’em all!
