From Software’s Elden Ring has grown to become one of the most anticipated games for the new-gen consoles, and the game is finally set to release later this month. Just in, Bandai Namco has given us a complete overview of the game, from gameplay, to character creation, and the overall setting of the Lands Between.

With Dark Souls defining a completely new genre when it came out on 2011, Elden Ring is expected to be the next step in the future of Soulslike titles. Though the unforgiving gameplay can be expected, you have to find yourself floored at how gorgeously rendered the world an all the terrifying monsters are.
Besides being a spiritual successor to the Souls franchise, another huge hook the game has is that the world’s lore is written by Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin himself. While the Souls games have been notorious for their difficulty, they have also been praised for their attention to the lore, and fans will find themselves immersed in a whole new level when it comes to the realm of the Lands Between.

The Golden Order has been broken.
Rise, Tarnished, and be guided by grace to brandish the power of the Elden Ring and become an Elden Lord in the Lands Between.
In the Lands Between ruled by Queen Marika the Eternal, the Elden Ring, the source of the Erdtree, has been shattered.
Marika’s offspring, demigods all, claimed the shards of the Elden Ring known as the Great Runes, and the mad taint of their newfound strength triggered a war: The Shattering. A war that meant abandonment by the Greater Will.
And now the guidance of grace will be brought to the Tarnished who were spurned by the grace of gold and exiled from the Lands Between. Ye dead who yet live, your grace long lost, follow the path to the Lands Between beyond the foggy sea to stand before the Elden Ring.
