While Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order did great numbers when it came out, the game was still far from perfect. With Star Wars Jedi: Survivor set to launch later this year, director Stig Asmussen has confirmed one new feature that a lot of players wished Fallen Order had.

Fast Travel and Rideable Mounts Confirmed for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

In an upcoming issue of Play Magazine (via GamesRadar), Asmussen confirmed, “We will feature both fast travel and rideable creatures to help players quickly get from point A to B, and back to A… the fast-travel is point to point, and the rideable creatures offer a way to quickly negotiate between points and explore what is in between.”

We don’t know exactly how that system will work yet, but I have a feeling that the game will still contain some ‘meditation spots’ that will count as save points/upgrade areas. Then again with Cal already remembering all of his Jedi training, I think we can expect upgrades to just happen anywhere the player decides.

In Fallen Order, fans were given multiple semi-open worlds that would encourage players to traverse every nook and cranny in search of extras and bonuses. Should they change the system for the sequel, I’m hoping that we have some more variety when it comes to aesthetics. I’m sure people don’t just want a differently colored poncho.

As of now, the game has been delayed for six weeks. We don’t have any specifics, but with the first game having already launched with all its bugs, you can bet that Respawn Entertainment wants to make sure the launch version of the game works a lot smoother this time around.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is set to come out for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC on April 28.
