In the early years of the Pokemon universe, when humanity and Pokemon did not get along, is when Pokemon Legends: Arceus took place. This game is set in the Hisui area, which will eventually be renamed Sinnoh in the current Pokemon universe.

Where to Find an Alpha Electabuzz in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

To complete Hisui’s first Pokédex, the player must catch every type of Pokémon found here. In Jubilife Village, the player will become a member of the Survey Corps and join the Galaxy Expedition Team (also known as the Galaxy Team).

In the Hisui region, there are Pokemon that are larger than their normal counterparts, have blazing red eyes, and overflow with Wild Might, which raises their stats and enhances their combat abilities. They are referred to as Alpha Pokemon.

In this guide, we will learn where to find an Alpha Electabuzz!

Alpha Pokemon

An Alpha Pokemon always has a higher level than its standard counterparts. They are all hostile, except Mantyke and Mantine, and they never flee when they meet the player (except when the type of Alpha Pokemon appears during a certain time of day or if a Space-Time Distortion appears around them).

When an Alpha Pokemon is near the player, it will roar and emit a shockwave. They could stagger the player and knock them to the ground if they get close enough.

The player can catch the Alpha Pokemon regardless of its level by battling it before tossing a Poke Ball. If the player’s current obedience level is far lower than that of the Alpha Pokemon, the player would not be able to catch them.

The player can avoid Battling Alpha Pokemon by sneaking up on them in tall grass or using stealth items before tossing a Poke Ball at them.

The player can also increase their Star Rank, also known as their Survey Corps rank if they are having problems catching an Alpha Pokemon by accomplishing Research Tasks and speaking with Professor Laventon in any of the Base Camps.

In the game, there are three different kinds of Alpha Pokemon: fixed Alpha Pokemon, which always spawn in the same places and have a fixed level; random Alpha Pokemon, which may only appear after the player calms the area’s frenzied Noble Pokemon; and Alpha Pokemon in Massive Mass Outbreaks, which may appear as a second wave in the same place as a Mass Outbreak’s first wave.

Since the other two types of Alpha Pokemon are completely random, we will only look at a fixed Alpha Pokemon, an Alpha Electabuzz.

Alpha Electabuzz

Electabuzz is an Electric type Electric Pokemon with a yellow and black body that looks a little like a humanoid but with a few cat features, a pair of triangular eyes with small pupils, a large mouth with two visible fangs on its upper jaw, a letter V-shaped marking on its forehead, a pair of antennae with circular tips, two long tufts of fur on the top of its head, a large lightning bolt marking on its torso, a pair of arms with a lot of black stripes, a pair of legs that also has black stripes and feet that has two claws in the front and one claw in the back, and a long tail also with a lot of black stripes.

According to its Pokedex entry in the game, Electabuzz feeds on electrical energy. Also, people can see Electabuzz climb trees to wait for lightning to strike during rain showers under looming thunderclouds.

An Alpha Electabuzz can be found slightly north of Icebound Falls (east of Avalanche Slopes or west of Whiteout Valley) in the Alabaster Icelands and in the area mentioned at all times of the day and in every weather condition. The Alpha Electabuzz that can be found in this location is a Level 65 Pokemon.

To ensure that the player strikes first in a battle, it is recommended to sneak up behind the Alpha Pokemon using tall grass and/or other stealth tools like Smoke Bombs and throw the player’s Pokemon or Poke Ball on its back to catch it off, guard.

If you wish to use food to distract Electabuzz before you catch it, it prefers Springy Mushrooms, Dazzling Honey, Hearty Grains, and Plump Beans.

Also, it is important to mention if you plan on battling it first before catching it, that Electabuzz, again, is an Electric type Pokemon which means it has a weakness to Ground-type moves (super effective) and a resistance to Electric type, Flying-type, and Steel-type moves (not very effective).

Aside from the Alpha Electabuzz in the location mentioned above, the regular, non-alpha, Electabuzz can also be found in the Coronet Highlands (in Cloudcap Pass).

Other parts of the Alabaster Icelands (east of Arena’s Approach and in Avalanche Slopes) and Electabuzz can be found here at all times of the day and in every weather condition.

Aside from that, Electabuzz can also be found in Massive Mass Outbreaks in the Coronet Highlands and inside Space-Time Distortions.

Now that the player has caught an Alpha Electabuzz, the player can try to use the Alpha Electabuzz to complete other requests, missions, or Arceus’ tasks for the player to catch ‘em all!
