The all new Hivebusters DLC gave us an exceptionally immersive experience in Gears 5. Outlining the story of the Scorpio and giving us a unique look into the three main characters: Keegan, Mac, and Lahni. Since most of the story of the Scorpio was revealed, it gave the game much more depth and for the characters as well. There are so many new things in this DLC, but we though it would be appropriate to start with the skins.
For each of these characters in the campaign, there will be a cool skin you can unlock pretty easily.
How to Unlock Onyx Guard Keegan, Armored Mac & Brash Brigade Lahni Skins – Gears 5
These are the skins that are featured on the DLC’s picture, and they’re beautifully designed. But what does it take to unlock these skins?
In truth, not much, but that answer might be subjective. All you need to do is finish the campaign for Hivebusters to get the Onyx Guard Keegan, Armored Mac, and Brash Brigade Lahni skins in Gears 5.
That is the main reason why I said it is subjective. It sounds relatively simple, but as you might know, the Hivebusters campaign is challenging, and you would most likely want to experience it fully, and not speed run it.
Thankfully, there is a silver lining. You can play this Hivebusters campaign on any difficulty and still get the three skins for these characters. I imagine that most players are hardcore and usually play on higher difficulty, but the possibility is there if you want to go that route.
After finishing the story completely and after every cut-scene, once you get back to the menu, you will be prompted that you’ve received the Onyx Guard Keegan, Armored Mac, and Brash Brigade Lahni.
At this point you already know what to do. Go to the customization menu and suit up!
