PC

Unfortunately, you cannot get rid of weapons manually in GTA 5 on PC. No button or keybind allows you to “drop” any of Franklin, Michael, or Trevor’s weapons.

However, there is a trick you can use to get rid of your weapons in GTA 5 on PC. However, this method will remove all of Franklin, Michael, or Trevor’s inventory, including armor and grenades.

Go to any police station and commit crimes until the police arrest you. All your weapons will be confiscated by the police when you are arrested, allowing you to get rid of all the weapons, armor, or utilities in your inventory.

PlayStation/Xbox/GTA Online

You can manually get rid of your weapons in GTA 5 on Console. Press and hold the L1/LB button (PS/Xbox), highlight the weapon you want to drop, and then press Triangle (PlayStation) or Y (Xbox) on your controller. You can use the same method in GTA Online.

While you can’t drop weapons in GTA 5 Story Mode on PC, you can drop weapons in GTA Online on PC. To do this, bring up the weapon wheel by pressing TAB, highlight the weapon you want to drop, and then press F9.

Can You Sell Weapons in GTA 5?

You cannot sell weapons you already own in GTA 5, but you can purchase a Gun Locker to sort weapons that show up in your weapon wheel.

On a different note, you can sell weapons as a business in GTA Online via the Gunrunning business, where you produce weapons and then deliver them to customers for profit. However, you can only sell weapons you have produced through your Gunrunning business and still can’t sell any gun or weapon you have previously purchased.
