The Halo series has just been released on Paramount+, and I guess it’s safe to say that the show has been getting a divisive reaction. Even if that was the case, it looks like content inspired by the show is planned to come to Halo Infinite.
Talking to The Washington Post, community director Brian Jarrard has said, “We will have some content that is inspired by the show that will be coming out in the game a little bit further down the road. The hope is that we see a lot more cross-pollination. ‘You like the show? Check out the game, by the way, it’s free to play’.”
343 Industries is said to be hoping that the show and the game can influence each other in the future, with elements from each crossing over from time to time. “We’ll have the ability to shape and influence experiences and content over time, even though they are technically different universes and timelines. I do think that you’ll see some eventual nods back and forth between the two … to look at ways to pull the show in fun ways,” said Jarrard.
Admittedly, the harshest critics of the television show right now are the gamers, but that doesn’t make the series any less committed to making a faithful adaptation. Besides, we only have two episodes so far, and I’m sure that there’s a lot of room for the series to really pick up.
Halo Infinite is now playable for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. You can catch the Halo series now streaming on Paramount+.
