It’s finally here. After years in development, we finally have the live-action Halo adaptation, and Paramount+ has given us a first full trailer ahead of the March premiere.

Check out Master Chief, Cortana, the Spartans, and more in this first series trailer:

Though we don’t get a look at Pablo Schreiber’s face in the series, it’s keeping in line with the original games, in which we never actually get to see Master Chief’s face. If anything, the series could be taking a leaf out of The Mandalorian’s book. Having the protagonist’s face covered all the time allows for multiple actors to play the character (allowing the production to maximize time), and Schreiber can just come in to provide the voice and an occasional face/profile reveal.

Besides Master Chief, the rest of the characters look great. While some fans have a lot of harsh things to say about the live-action Cortana, I think the over-sexualization of the character in the original games would cause a problem today. It’s still great that they were able to bring in Jen Taylor from the original games to reprise the role.

Dramatizing an epic 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant, Halo the series will weave deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure, and a richly imagined vision of the future.

In a war for humanity’s very survival, our deadliest weapon is our greatest hope. See Master Chief, Cortana, the Covenant, and the other Spartans of Silver Team more in this epic trailer for the new Paramount+ Original Series, Halo. Find the Halo, win the war.

Catch the Halo premiere on Paramount+ this coming March 24.
