Team Cherry’s Metroidvania action-adventure game, Hollow Knight, follows the journey of a nameless warrior called the Knight as he travels through Hallownest, which is now a kingdom in ruins because of a supernatural disease. As the Knight journeys through Hallownest, he can obtain new items, abilities, spells, and charms that will help him traverse through different areas of Hallownest and defeat enemies.

Examples of these items in the game are the Hallownest Seals. According to in-game lore, these items are the official symbols of the Pale King and the Five Great Knights. Hallownest Seals can be found in different areas throughout Hallownest, and in this guide, you will learn how to obtain the Hallownest Seal in the Watcher’s Spire! The symbol is also used as part of an aesthetic around the Hallownest kingdom.

The Watcher’s Spire Hallownest Seal

The Hallownest Seal in the Watcher’s Spire can be found in the middle of the area before the top of the Watcher’s Spire, where the Knight will encounter Lurien the Watcher.

In the Watcher’s Spire, the Knight will encounter different kinds of enemies like the Cowardly Husk, Gluttonous Husk, Husk Dandy, Great Husk Sentry, Husk Sentry, Lance Sentry, Winged Sentry, and Heavy Sentry. As mentioned above, the Knight will also encounter the Watcher Knights in the area.

Before the Knight can reach the Watcher’s Spire, the Knight must first obtain the Monarch Wings ability, allowing the Knight to perform a double jump in mid-air. Additionally, to traverse the Watcher’s Spire, the Knight must also obtain the Mantis Claw ability to cling to walls and jump off them. With these abilities, obtaining the Hallownest Seal is very easy (except for the Watcher Knights). To do that, this is what the Knight must do:

1. From the Memorial to the Hollow Knight in the middle of the City of Tears, head to the path on the right where the Knight will encounter a Cowardly Husk and a Husk Dandy, then take the exit on the right.
   
2. In the next room, take the elevator just near the entrance to the room and head up a level.
3. Then, head a little bit right, and before the glass floor (or gap if you have already destroyed the glass floor using the Descending Dark spell), you will see a platform above. Use the Monarch Wings to perform a double jump and reach the platform, then head to the left and take the exit above.
   
4. Upon entering the next room, head to the right, where the Knight will encounter a Cowardly Husk and a Husk Dandy. Head up using the Monarch Wings ability and the Mantis Claw ability, where the Knight will face two Winged Sentries; then, at the top, head to the left, where you will eventually see a path on the floor and an exit on the left. Take the exit on the left, and you will find a Bench in the next room. Sit on the Bench to save your progress.
   
5. After that, go back to the previous room. Head down on the path on the floor. The Knight will encounter a Cowardly Husk, a Husk Dandy, and a Husk Sentry. Head a little bit to the right and head down where the Knight will encounter a Gluttonous Husk, then head on the left, then head down where the Knight must defeat a Great Husk Sentry and a Winged Sentry to continue. After defeating them, the path on the right will be opened where there is a switch inside. Strike the switch to turn it, and the next pathway will be opened. 
   
6. Drop to the previous path on the right, take the path on the right, go up a level where the Knight will encounter another Gluttonous Husk, head up another level where the Knight will encounter a Heavy Sentry, and head up the shaft on the left, continue on the right, then take the exit above. It is worth mentioning that it would be a great help to turn the lever at the top of the shaft as this will open a gate that will become a shortcut to the Bench earlier.
   
7. Next, as the Knight enters, there will be two paths: on the left, where the Knight will encounter a Great Husk Sentry and several other enemies, and above, where the Knight will encounter a Winged Sentry. Take the path above and go up a level, then head to the left, and you will eventually find an elevator. Ride the elevator up, take the path on the left, and then, near the end of the path, take the exit above.
   
8. After that, take the elevator up and head to the right, and the Knight will encounter the Watcher Knights. The Knight must first defeat the Watcher Knights to continue. Once they are defeated, continue on the right, go up the shaft, continue on the path on the left, and, at the end of the path, you will find a Geo Chest. Then, above it, on the right, there is a platform with something glowing on it.
9. Finally, inspect the glowing thing, and the Knight has obtained the Hallownest Seal in the Watcher’s Spire!

After obtaining a Hallownest Seal, the Knight can head to the west of the statue of the Hollow Knight in the City of Tears and find Relic Seeker Lemm, then sell the Hallownest Seal to him for 450 Geo.
