Using a metered internet connection? Got slow download speeds? Just copy VALORANT from a friend’s PC.

How to copy VALORANT to another PC

Not everyone is blessed with blazing-fast internet speeds with unlimited data caps. While some regions will have no problems downloading a hundred gigabytes of data over a few seconds, others can barely download an MP3 file reliably.

Fortunately, there are other ways to grab data from one device to another. With high-speed storage devices flooding the PC market, transferring data from one PC to another is faster and more reliable than ever.

If you are one of those people cursed with slow download speeds or are someone who is running a metered internet connection, we will teach you how to copy VALORANT to another PC, so you will not have to waste time or precious data allowance to get the game on your PC.

How Big is VALORANT?

You will be forgiven for thinking VALORANT is over 50 GB in file size. After all, the game’s complex maps, Agents, and abilities all look so good you’ll swear the game was at least a couple of gigabytes in files.

However, as of Patch 5.0, VALORANT is only 25GB in size, give or take, which is relatively small considering how complex Riot Games’ tactical shooting game is.

People with a fast internet connection with no data cap will have no problems downloading 25GB of data in a matter of minutes.

What do I Need to Copy VALORANT to Another PC?

Portable flash storage can be had for very cheap these days. You can use any of the following storage devices to copy VALORANT:

  • Flash Drive (At least 30GB of free space);
  • External Hard Drive (At least 30GB free space);
  • Android Device (with at least 30GB of free space).

That last one might seem weird to some, but a phone/tablet is a flash storage device capable of storing large files. Just remember to set your Android device to File Transfer mode to gain access to your Android device’s storage.

In addition, having a USB 3.0 (or better) capable storage device will make copying and transferring files much quicker than using the old USB 2.0 standard. Make sure you plug the storage device into a USB port on your PC that can support faster speeds. These ports are usually color-coded or labeled, so keep an eye out for that.
