The Sims 4: Werewolves pack has been receiving a lot of positive feedback since it was released, much to the surprise of skeptics. One of its most vital points is the gameplay element that gives you plenty of choices in how you would lead the life of a shape-shifting beast. Your Sim can become the Alpha Wolf or the highest rank a werewolf can attain in a social group of werewolves. But prior to achieving that status, they will need to join a wolf pack.

How to Join a Wolf Pack in The Sims 4

Joining a wolf pack requires interacting with high-ranking werewolves and completing tasks. In this article, we will discuss two of the most prominent wolf packs in Moonwood Mill and what you must do to become one of them.

The Wolf Packs of Moonwood Mill

Moonwood Mill has a rich history that involves supernatural creatures, but it is primarily a nesting ground for all sorts of werewolves. Below are the two wolf packs led by two Alpha Wolves with contrasting notions about how werewolves should live their life.

The Moonwood Collective

WP The Moonwood Collective

The Moonwood Collective is a wolf pack that strictly adheres to its mission of opposing the vampires’ anti-werewolf propaganda with diplomacy. Their leader, Kristopher Volkov, welcomes all peace-loving werewolves into his clan. This group promises to respect all creatures and become useful members of society.

Kristopher Volkov: The Werewolf Pacifist

WP Kristopher2

Kristopher Volkov is known as one of the oldest werewolves in town. He is a playable character who lives in the Volkov household with his son, Jacob Volkov, and his friend, Lily Zhu.

When he’s not busy being a responsible father and giving back to the community, Kristopher works as a freelance programmer. His mother, Maria Volkov, taught him how to be self-sufficient and considerate of others. Maria Volkov was an original mooncaster—a werewolf who transitioned from being a spellcaster by absorbing their familiars’ powers. She is also the founding leader of the Moonwood Collective.

Kristopher has two adoptive children named Jacob Volkov and Rory Oaklow. He is a doting father to Jacob and a strict mentor to Rory.

The Volkov Residence is found on the northwest side of Moonwood Mill. Next to the Volkov Residence and near the Starter Home is where the Moonwood Collective hangout is located.

The Wildfangs

WP TheWildFangs

The Wildfangs is a group made of free-spirited werewolves founded by Rory Oaklow. They believe that their powers are the ultimate gift bestowed by the moon. And so they must relish their gift, embrace their fury, and hone their skills, even if it means causing trouble for other werewolves or non-werewolf folks.

Rory Oaklow: The Wild Child

WP Rory

Rory Oaklow is the rambunctious adoptive daughter of Kristopher Volkov. She does not live in the Volkov household, so she is not initially a playable character, but you can find her in Manage Households and move her into a residential lot.

Before leaving the Volkov household, she was taught to be a prim and proper Moonwood Collective member. As she grew older, she found Kristopher too uptight and thought his philosophy restricted her from reaching her full potential as a werewolf. Unlike the prodigal son Jacob, she rejects all of Kristopher’s teachings and has become an estranged daughter to him. Rory found kinship with other renegade werewolves and decided to make her wolf clan.

Many of their members can usually be found happily roaming around the forest town. But their main hangout is located in the south part of the town, near the empty residential lot and the Grimtooth Bar & Bunker.

How to Join a Wolf Pack

To become a wolf pack member, your non-occult Sim needs to become a werewolf. There are plenty of ways to become a werewolf. You can make one in CAS or ask for a werewolf to pass down the lycanthrope curse through a bite. But if you want to skip the transformation sequence, you can input a cheat code. Activate the cheat by typing traits.equip_trait trait_occultwerewolf.

WP Friends

Decide which of the two wolf packs your Sim will join. Next, make them befriend several of the pack members. Once they have acquainted themselves with the members, you may ask them if they can be a Friend of the Moonwood Collective or Wildfangs. Befriending the Alpha wolf is your best choice considering they are the ones leading their pack.

WP Trials

Succeeding in gaining their favors will unlock new clan hangout perks and unique dialogue options. Your Sim can ask the Alpha if they can be a pack member. But they will be required to complete some trials before they are allowed to join them. There are six challenges your Sim must overcome, but you may choose to complete only three out of six trials to pass.

  1. Demonstrate Pack Howl: Sims are required to learn the Pack Howl ability.
  2. Demonstrate Scavenging: Sims are required to learn the Scavenging ability.
  3. Discuss Lunar Epiphany: Sims are required to learn the Lunar Epiphany Dormant ability.
  4. Give an Uncommon or Rare Collectible: Try fishing for collectibles in the lake, scavenging the ground, or looking for treasures inside Underground Tunnels.
  5. Give Excellent Quality Food: Level up your Sim’s cooking skills to make food of excellent quality.
  6. Werewolf Spar with Leader: Exchange blows with a pack leader or an Alpha wolf.

WP Congrats

Kristopher or Rory will welcome your Sim in their pack after finishing the trials. They will automatically gain the Omega title, which is the lowest rank in the pack. Your werewolf will receive clan privileges upon becoming a rookie member, such as a monthly supply of jerky bites and a new magazine.

And there you have it! Your Sim can begin building their rank, strengthening bonds with their peers, and hunting in a pack after joining The Moonwood Collective or The Wildfangs.

And that is all you need to know about joining a wolfpack in The Sims 4: Werewolves. More news, articles, and guides on The Sims 4 can be found here on PlayerAssist.com.
