How to Farm Acid
Make Acid in Once Human
The most efficient method for farming Acid in Once Human is to produce it passively. Even when you’re AFK or offline, you can continuously generate Acid using function facilities like Water Pumps and Brewing Barrels. Here’s how to optimize this process:
- Unlock Water Pumps in Logistics Tier 3.
- Unlock Brewing Barrels in Logistics Tier 4.
- Set your Base in any Polluted areas near a water source. Polluted areas can be seen on the map (Default: M) as black spots on the terrain.
- Build a Water Pump in a water source to collect Dirty Water.
- Build another Water Pump in the polluted terrain to collect Polluted Water.
- Build an Osmosis Water Purifier and connect its pipe to all Water Pumps. This will purify Dirty Water into Pure Water, while Polluted Water purifies into Impure Acid.
- Build a Brewing Barrel and connect its pump to an Osmosis Water Purifier.
- The Pure Water will be placed in the top row of the Brewing Barrel, and Impure Acid will be placed in the middle row.
- The Brewing Barrel will combine the Pure Water and Impure Acid, turning it into Acid.
Farm Acid in Production Facility
Production Facilities can be found in every region of Once Human. It’s a repeatable event you manually activate using an Access Card (Blackfell Refinery or Extraction Permit). Once the event starts, your main objective is to protect the production facility by eliminating hordes of Deviants. After the facility has survived all four waves, you will receive 40-80 Acid and other items.

Farm Acid from Deviants
Whenever you eliminate a Deviant, there’s a chance that it will drop Acid. It’s wise to farm acid in high-density Deviant areas such as POI, Silos, and Facilities. These locations offer increased chances of looting Acid due to the high number of Deviants present.
Additionally, the Production Facility event is an excellent opportunity to farm acid, as it sends waves of Deviant your way, allowing you to gather acid while completing event objectives efficiently.
Best Food for Farming Acid
Once Human features a variety of cooked foods, each offering unique buffs to enhance your gameplay experience. One standout option is Preserved Deviated Chops, a food item unlocked through Logistics Memetics at Tier 4. When consumed, Preserved Deviated Chops boost acid gain by 50% when defeating Deviants. Crafting this food is simple, requiring just three ingredients: Any Meat, Peppercorn, and Salt.
Note: The consistent way of obtaining Peppercorn and Peppercorn Seed is by purchasing them from Lacey in Blackfell, Red Sands (4125, -1492). You get Salt by cooking Salty Water, which is obatined by gathering sea water.
