Insomniac Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Spider-Man 2 is one of the most anticipated game releases 2023. And while much of the hype can be attributed to the game’s next-gen graphics and larger open-world map, the thing that has Spider-Man fans talking is the fact that you can play not one but both protagonists from previous titles in the series – Peter Parker and Miles Morales from Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, respectively.
Spider-Man fans will want to get their hands on a copy of Marve’s Spider-Man 2 for their consoles, but will Spider-Man 2 be available on other consoles such as the Xbox or PC? Read on to find out.
Will Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 be on Xbox or PC?
Spider-Man 2 will not be coming to the Xbox or PC for now. The newest Spider-Man game is a PlayStation exclusive and is only available to play on the PS5 right now.
However, it’s not all bad news for PC players, as Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales were also PlayStation-exclusive games but were eventually ported to the PC a few years after their initial release. Unfortunately, players on the Xbox will have little to no chance of playing Spider-Man on their consoles, as Spider-Man 2 is a Sony-exclusive game made for the PlayStation.
Is Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 a PS5 exclusive?
Yes, Spider-Man 2 is a PS5 exclusive. There are no plans to bring the action-adventure game to other platforms, such as Microsoft’s Xbox or Nintendo’s Switch. However, there is a chance that Insomniac Games eventually ports the game over to PC, much like they did with earlier games in the series.
The first game in the series, Spider-Man, was released in 2018 and was initially a PlayStation exclusive for the PS4. A few years later, Spider-Man and a spin-off titled Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales would be ported to the PC. This gave PC players a taste of what it is like slinging webs and swinging through New York City.
Will Spider-Man 2 be multiplayer?
No, there are no plans to add multiplayer capability for Spider-Man 2. You cannot play Spider-Man 2 with friends or other players online or in local co-op mode.
Many Spider-Man fans hoped to see a co-op multiplayer mode in Spider-Man 2, but Insomniac Games wants to keep the game a single-player action-adventure game similar to the first two games in the series.

Final Thoughts
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 remains a Sony PlayStation exclusive, much like its predecessors Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, as Insomniac Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment do not have plans to release Spider-Man 2 on other consoles such as the Xbox or Switch. With that said, there’s a good chance you’ll eventually find Spider-Man 2 on PC. Especially as the previous games were eventually ported over to the PC a few years after their initial release.
