Orcs Must Die 3 is finally coming to PC, Xbox One, and PS4! This Google Stadia exclusive, is now set to be released on these three platforms as well. The news were received very well, and anticipation gets higher and higher. Most are wondering though, is Orcs Must Die 3 available for crossplay? We set out to find out, to see whether this orc slaying adventure will be cross platform as well!
Is Crossplay Available – Orcs Must Die 3
This was the most common question people had when news started to pick up that this game is coming to multiple platforms at once, and rightfully so. It’s a very hectic experience, and slashing orcs is a very tough job.
That is why this game is an absolute blast in co-op. But not everyone plays on the same platform, and that’s why crossplay is such a big deal to many.
And unfortunately, at the moment Orcs Must Die 3 doesn’t have crossplay available. The official Orcs Must Die 3 twitter mentioned in a tweet that there will be no cross-platform functionality whatsoever on launch.
While that’s quite a bummer, it does tell us one thing, and that’s that crossplay isn’t out of the picture altogether.
Now, it is important to mention that it might be poor articulation on the developers’ or the social media manager’s part, or it does mean that crossplay will be coming in the future.
Because, the tweet did say: “Orcs Must Die! 3 will not support crossplay on release.”. It only says that it won’t be available on the release.
Does that mean that we should be hyping up for crossplay? At the moment, I’m not sure, and I don’t think so, because, while they did only point out it won’t be available on release, there were a multitude of other inquiries that were left unanswered, which posed the question on whether there were plans to implement it in the future.
So, yeah, we don’t have any more evidence on the official plans about this feature, but there is a good chance it might be coming in the game in the future.
