What happens when you take one of the biggest anime properties today (My Hero Academia) and cross it over with one of the most popular genres in gaming (Battle Royale)? You get a super-powered free-for-all called My Hero Ultra Rumble.
Bandai Namco has just dropped the announcement trailer, and we have a look at gameplay plus the colourful roster of characters that will be playable in-game. Watch this:
Are you ready to go PLUS ULTRA as your favorite Hero or cause ultimate chaos as your favorite Villain?
It’s all possible in MY HERO ULTRA RUMBLE – a 24 player Battle Royale set in the MY HERO ACADEMIA Universe!
We had actually gotten a non-translated look at this game earlier this year, but it’s great to see that there will be a translated version incoming.
Ultra Rumble is actually a free-to-play game, and will allow you to take part in causing chaos as a villain, or stopping them as a hero. There is also a skill card mechanic that gives players specific boosts depending on their characters’ quirks and abilities.
No release date has been set for My Hero Ultra Rumble, but you are welcome to register for the closed beta which will take place this August. Registration period is from July 2 to 31 though, so you better act now before it’s too late.
My Hero Ultra Rumble is expected to release for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
