Overwatch 2: Become Gods in Trailer for Limited Event Battle for Olympus

Watch this:

Here’s the official description:

Introducing Battle for Olympus, a free-for-all deathmatch mode featuring 7 of your favorite Heroes with reimagined abilities that channel the power of the Gods!

Stay on the lookout for our global leaderboard, where we’ll be tallying eliminations from each of the Heroes throughout the event! The Hero with the most eliminations will be honored with a statue in Ilios!

Art thou prepared, O mortal one?

Besides the new skins for specific heroes, abilities have also been reworked to deal extra damage in the battlefield. Junker Queen’s (Zeus) shout strikes enemies with lightning; Roadhog (Polyphemus) grows larger and shoots rocks during his ult; Pharah (Hades) can move and heal during her ult; Lucio (Hermes) can stun with his boop ability; Ramattra (Poseidon) lifts up his enemies when he does vortex; Reinhardt (Minotaur) gets a charge buff during shatter and can do it multiple times; and Widowmaker (Medus) can turn enemies to stone when she scopes at them using her ult.

I’m not much of a deathmatch guy, but with these new abilities, I think it’s worth a shot.

The Battle for Olympus event runs from Jan. 5–19. Overwatch 2 is currently playable for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4|5, and PC.
