Persona 5 has been around for a while, but the franchise found some new hype when an enchanced version was released for the PlayStation back in 2019 called Persona 5 Royal. There has been a promise that the game will be ported over to other consoles, and now we get a new trailer for Persona 5 Royal coming to the Nintendo Switch.
Don the mask of Joker and join the Phantom Thieves of Hearts in Persona 5 Royal. Break free from the chains of modern society and stage grand heists to infiltrate the minds of the corrupt and make them change their ways. Personal 5 Royal introduces a new semester at Shujin Academy, a new area of Tokyo to explore, new characters, new story arc and more. Even the most seasoned phantom thieves among us will be challenged to defy conventions, discover the power within, and fight for justice.
No special exclusives have been announced for the Switch version of P5R, but there’s probably a lot of time to make reveals before the game officially launches next month.
I have to admit, for a game filled with fabulous costumes and masquerades, a release around the Halloween season is just perfect for the game. I guess it’s also pretty fitting that it’s only other competition in October during launch would be Bayonetta 3, which is unapologetically fabulous, filled with scantily clad witches and biblically accurate angels.
Persona 5 Royal launches for the Nintendo Switch on Oct. 21, but is now available for pre-order.
