While Phantasy Star Online 2 might be exceptional even if you’re playing alone, the game really comes alive when you’re playing with other players. So, how to play with friends in Phantasy Star Online 2?

Well, firstly, open up the menu, by clicking escape – ESC. Then from the menu, go to the Communications tab.

When that menu opens, there are two ways to invite players from it. There is the “Nearby Players” option, and the “Friends List” option. If you’re already added as friends, you can open up the Friends List, and invite your buddy to the party.

As for nearby players, it is pretty self-explanatory, it gives you a list of players that are close to your location. So, technically if you and your friend are close to each other, you can also invite each other this way as well.

After joining the same party, the players can complete missions, fight, and explore together.

Lastly, if you want to add someone as your friend in New Genesis, you can do so from the same option that you can invite friends from, more specifically the Friends’ List. So, you can add a friend from there, and also invite a player to your party.
