One of Pokemon Legends: Arceus‘ objectives are to make the franchise’s famous line, “Gotta catch ’em all,” a reality. The player will join the Survey Corps, tasked with discovering everything there is to understand about the Pokemon of the ancient Hisui region.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus Ultimate Kirlia Guide

On top of that, the legendary Pokemon Arceus will require the player to meet every Pokemon in the region. As a result, the player must become acquainted with all of the Pokemon in the game.

This Pokemon Legends: Arceus guide will teach you everything you need to know about Kirlia!

Kirlia

Kirlia, the 102nd Pokemon in the Hisuian Pokedex, is a Psychic and Fairy-type Emotion Pokemon that has a green and white body that looks like it is wearing a white tutu with three ruffles on its sides, a pair of large red eyes, green hair that covers most of the middle of its face and long sides that reaches its shoulders, a pair of red horns on top of its head that look like hairpins, a pair of thin, white arms with two fingers on each hand, a pair of long thin, green legs with pointy feet.

According to its Pokedex entry in the game, Kirlia looks like a maiden but has strange powers of projective visions of paradise. Also, it is suspected that the crimson ornaments on top of its head are the key to its abilities.

Basic Information

Kirlia is a Psychic and Fairy-type Pokemon that is weak (super effective) to Ghost-type, Poison-type, and Steel-type moves, resistant (not very effective) to Psychic-type and especially Fighting-type moves, and immune (no effect) to Dragon-type moves.

Kirlia’s base stats are 38 HP, 35 Attack, 35 Defense, 65 Special Attack, 55 Special Defense, and 50 Speed, for a total of 278.

Kirlia can be evolved to a Gardevoir once it reaches Level 30. Alternatively, a male Kirlia can also be evolved to a Gallade by using a Dawn Stone. Kirlia can then be evolved from a Ralts once it reaches Level 20.

Kirlia’s food preferences are Springy Mushrooms, Dazzling Honey, Hearty Grains, and Plump Beans. These foods and berries can distract or feed Kirlia, allowing it to be caught or fought unawares.

When a Kirlia is captured or beaten in the wild, it drops a Medicinal Leek and a Ball of Mud, both of which are given to the player.

Location

To find a Kirlia, the player can head to these areas:

In the Crimson Mirelands: in the Shrouded Ruins

In the Alabaster Icelands: in Heart’s Crag and inside Snowpoint Temple.

Kirlia can head to these locations at all times of the day and in every weather condition to encounter a Kirlia.

Also, there is a chance that the player can find a group of Kirlias in Massive Mass Outbreaks in the Alabaster Icelands.

Research Tasks

The following are the Research Tasks in Kirlia’s Pokedex entry:

MultiplierResearch TaskObjectives
x2Number caught1/2/4/10/15
x2Number of small specimens you have caught1/2/5/7/10
Number you have caught without being spotted1/2/4/6/10
Number defeated1/2/4/10/15
Times you have seen it use Draining Kiss1/3/6/12/25
Times you have given it food1/2/3/4/5
x2Number you have evolved1/2/3

Completing a Research Task objective with an x2 multiplier results in two Research Levels, whereas only one Research Level is produced by accomplishing a Research Task objective without an x2 multiplier. A Pokemon’s Pokedex entry must get to Research Level 10 to be considered finished.

Completing Pokedex entries and Research Task objectives will result in the player receiving Research Points. If a player earns enough Research Points, their Star Rank in the Galaxy Team will rise.

To quickly complete Kirlia’s Pokedex entry, the player can feed a Kirlia food or berries five times, then catch two more, with at least one caught without the player being spotted.

Accomplishing these will tick the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth objectives of the “Times you’ve given it food” Research Task to get five Research Levels, fulfill the first and second objectives of the “Number caught” Research Task to gain four Research Levels because of its x2 multiplier, and tick the first objective of the “Number you’ve caught without being spotted” Research Task to get the last Research Level needed to achieve Research Level 10 finally.

Relevant Request

Kirlia is involved in Request 75, called “Kirlia the Hairstyle Muse” request.

To unlock this request, the player must achieve the following:

  • Receive “The Slumbering Lord of the Tundra” Mission, the twelfth mission in the game where the player is tasked to quell a frenzied Noble Hisuian Avalugg.
  • Complete the “Misdreavus the Hairstyle Muse” Request (request 59) from Arezu outside the Jubilife Village’s Hairdresser.

Part 1

To start this request, go to the hairdresser next to Anthe in the Clothier and Choy in the General Store and just in front of the player’s quarters on the left side of the Galaxy Hall, and talk to Arezu of the Diamond Clan just outside and she will say that she needs help coming up with new hairstyles.

She believes that Pokemon are excellent sources of inspiration, and the Pokemon she is currently picturing is Kirlia. Arezu will then state that she has no recollection of what a Kirlia looks like, but she is certain that Kirlias has a distinct style that will help overcome her block once she studies one up close. So, Arezu will ask the player to show her a Kirlia.

Next, the player must catch a Kirlia. Again, Kirlia can be found in the Crimson Mirelands (in Shrouded Ruins near the top of the map) and Alabaster Icelands (Heart’s Crag on the right side). Alternatively, the player can also evolve a Ralts to obtain a Kirlia. Ralts will evolve into a Kirlia once it reaches Level 20.

Part 2

After that, return to Arezu, still outside the hairdresser beside the General Store and Clothier in Jubilife Village, talk to her, select “About your request…” on the prompt, and select the Kirlia on the prompt. Arezu will then tell the player that Kirlia enjoys dancing, to which she will respond that she understands because it is the best feeling when your hair sways around you while you dance.

She will then realize that this is the type of hairstyle she prefers, so she will analyze and figure out how to do it. Arezu will then express gratitude to the player for bringing Kirlia, stating that she now has ideas for new hairstyles and colors.

Finally, the player has completed the “Kirlia the Hairstyle Muse” Request, and the player can now try out new hairstyles that have been added to the hairdresser’s lineup!

With an improved knowledge of Kirlia, the player can use it to complete missions and requests or simply catch ’em all!
