Pokemon Legends: Arceus Ultimate Lopunny Guide

Pokemon Legends: Arceus, a semi-open-world action role-playing game set in the ancient Hisui region, which is the past version of the modern Sinnoh region, adds a new twist to the popular franchise. The Galaxy Expedition Team, simply known as the Galaxy Team, will let the player join the Survey Corps to study the Pokemon found in the Hisui region. One of the main responsibilities of the player is to complete the Pokedex by catching and studying every species of Pokemon in the region.

This guide will discuss everything you need to know about Lopunny in Pokemon Legends: Arceus!

Lopunny

Lopunny, the 65th Pokemon in the Hisuian Pokedex, is a Normal type Rabbit Pokemon with a coat of dark brown and cream fur, a pair of red eyes with black pupils, lengthy, cream-colored fur above its eyes, a small pink nose, a pair of very long and fluffy ears with cream-colored tips, a pair of arms with fluffy, cream-colored forearms, a pair of long legs with cream colored calves and feet, and a round, cream-colored tail. As per its Pokedex entry in the game, Lopunny’s fur is warm and exceedingly light. Also, Lopunny’s kicking style makes it appear adept in karate, as its kicks effortlessly repel opponents.

Basic Information

Lopunny is a Normal-type Pokemon, which means it is weak (super effective) to Fighting-type moves and immune (no effect) to Ghost-type moves.

Lopunny’s base stats are 65 HP, 76 Attack, 84 Defense, 54 Special Attack, 96 Special Defense, and 105 Speed, for a total of 480.

Lopunny can be evolved from a Buneary when it reaches a High Friendship Level.

To determine a Pokemon’s Friendship Level, the player can consult the Friendship Checker Belamy, located south of the Pastures in the eastern part of Jubilife Village. It’s worth noting that the Friendship Checker isn’t available right away, and to unlock it, the player must complete the “Measuring Your Compatibility” Request (request 28). After completing the request, the player can approach Belamy, select the Pokemon they want to check, and find out its Friendship Level based on the description provided by Belamy:

Friendship LevelBelamy’s Description
Base Friendship“[Your Pokemon] seems leery of you yet. New to the team, perhaps?”
Low“I suppose [your Pokemon]’s become a bit friendly toward you, but you’ve a ways to go…”
Mid“[Your Pokemon] seems to get on well with you. But I’m sure it could get on better!”
High“You and [your Pokemon] seem to be fast friends. You must be quite good companions!”
Highest“What an excellent pair of friends you and [your Pokemon] make. You must mean a lot to each other!”

The player’s Buneary must reach the High or Highest Friendship Level to evolve into a Lopunny.

The player can throw Springy Mushrooms, Dazzling Honey, Hearty Grains, or Plump Beans at it, as these are Lopunny’s preferred foods, to lure or distract it before battling or catching it.

Whenever a Lopunny is caught or defeated in the wild, the player will get a Seed of Master and an Exp. Candy M.

Location

The player can find Lopunny in the following areas in Pokemon Legends: Arceus:

In the Obsidian Fieldlands: in the southwesternmost part of The Heartwood.

In the Alabaster Icelands, in Bonechill wastes, and in the Snowfall Hot Spring,

Lopunny can be in these locations at all times of the day and in every weather condition.

It is worth noting, however, that the Lopunny found in the southernmost part of the Obsidian Fieldlands is a Level 40 Alpha Pokemon.

Aside from that, Lopunny can also be found in Massive Mass Outbreaks in the Obsidian Fieldlands and in the Alabaster Icelands or inside Space-Time Distortions.

Research Tasks

The following are the Research Tasks in Lopunny’s Pokedex entry:

MultiplierResearch TaskObjectives
x2Number caught1/2/4/6/10
Number of alpha specimens caught1
Number you’ve caught without being spotted1/2/3/4/5
Number defeated1/2/4/6/10
x2Times you have seen it use Draining Kiss1/3/6/12/25
Times you have seen it use Close Combat1/3/8/20/40
Times you have seen it use an agile style move1/3/8/20/40
x2Times you have given it food1/2/3/4/5

For a Pokemon’s Pokedex entry to be considered complete, its Research Level must reach Research Level 10. By completing one objective of a Research Task, the player can increase the Research Level of that entry by one. Furthermore, if the player completes a Research Task objective with a multiplier of x2, the entry will gain two Research Levels rather than one.

To quickly complete Lopunny’s Pokedex entry, the player can simply feed it food/berries five times. This will tick the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth objectives of the “Times you’ve given it food” Research Tasks, raising the Research Level to 10 because of its x2 multiplier.
