The early years of the Pokemon universe, when humans and Pokémon were at odds, took place in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. The Hisui region of the Pokemon universe, where this game takes place, is the past version of the Sinnoh region.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus Ultimate Parasect Guide

The player must capture every Pokémon in this region to complete Hisui’s first Pokédex, which is used to learn about Pokémon.

The Jubilife Village’s Galaxy Expedition Team (also known as the Galaxy Team), responsible for researching the local Pokemon, will assign the player to a position in the Survey Corps.

In this guide, we will learn everything you need to know about Parasect!

Parasect

Parasect, the 54th Pokemon in the Hisuian Pokedex, is a Bug and Grass type Mushroom Pokemon with an orange body that resembles an insect, a large red mushroom on its back with yellow spots, a small head, two pairs of legs, and two pairs of large pincers.

According to its Pokedex in the game, Parasects without mushrooms on their back can be found motionless in the forest, which leads to the theory that the large mushroom on its back controls the parasect’s actions.

Basic Information

Parasect is a Bug-type Pokemon which means it has a weakness to the Bug-type, Ice-type, Poison type, Rock-type, and especially Fire-type and Flying-type moves (super effective) and resistance to Electric type, Fighting-type, Water-type, and especially Grass-type and Ground-type moves (not very effective).

Parasect’s base stats are 60 HP, 95 Attack, 80 Defense, 60 Special Attack, 80 Special Defense, and 30 Speed for 405.

Parasect can be evolved from a Paras once it reaches Level 24.

If the player wants to lure Parasect with food before catching it, it prefers Crunchy Salts, Springy Mushrooms, Dazzling Honey, Hearty Grains, and Plump Beans

The player will receive a Seed of Mastery and an Exp. Candy M when a Parasect is defeated or captured.

Location

Parasect can be found in the following locations:

In the Crimson Mirelands: in the Golden Lowlands, in Droning Meadow, in Cottonsedge Prairie, in Diamond Heath, and Cloudpool Ridge.

Parasect can be found in these locations at all times of the day and in every weather condition.

An Alpha Parasect can be found in the northern end of Nature’s Pantry (east of the Heights Camp or south of Deertrack Heights) in the Obsidian Fieldlands, and it can also be found here at all times of the day and in every weather condition. The Alpha Parasect found in this location is a Level 30 Pokemon.

Aside from that, the Parasect can also be found in Massive Mass Outbreaks in the Obsidian Fieldlands and the Crimson Mirelands.

Research Tasks

The following are the Research Tasks in Parasect’s Pokedex entry:

MultiplierResearch TaskObjectives
x2Number caught1/2/4/10/15
Number of alpha specimens caught1/2/3
Number defeated1/3/8/20/40
Number you have defeated with Flying type moves1/2/4/6/10
x2Times you have seen it use Spore1/3/6/12/25
Times you have seen it use Venoshock1/3/6/12/25
Times you have seen it use a strong style move1/3/8/20/40
x2Investigated the mushroom growing on Parasect1

Except for objectives with a multiplier of x2, which raise Parasect’s Research Level by two for each one completed, the player must complete an objective for a specific Research Task to raise Parasect’s Research Level by one. To complete it, the player must advance Parasect’s Pokedex entry to Research Level 10.

To quickly complete Parasect’s Pokedex entry, the player must catch the Alpha Parasect two times, which ticks the first and second objectives of the “number caught” and “number of alpha specimens caught” Research Entries to add six Research Levels thanks to former’s  x2 multiplier and use it in the battle to use Spore three times, which ticks the first and second objectives of the “times you have seen it use Spore” Research Task to add four Research Levels thanks to its x2 multiplier, to reach Research Level 10.

Relevant Request

Parasect is involved in Request 33 called “What a Massive Mushroom!” and completing this request ticks the “Investigated the mushroom growing on Parasect” Research Task from Parasect’s Pokedex entry.

To unlock this request, the player must first complete the “Mushroom Cake Marketing” request (request 6), receive the “Arezu’s Predicament” mission (the eighth mission in the game in which the player must quell the Lady of the Ridge Liligant’s frenzy), and add Parasect to the player’s Pokedex.

To begin this request, proceed to the Galaxy Hall and Professor Laventon’s room on the left side of Captain Cyllene’s office.

A blackboard can be found in Professor Laventon’s room, just behind Professor Laventon himself, with a few requests on this blackboard that the player can accept.

Read what is on the blackboard, choose the ‘What a Massive Mushroom!’ request on the prompt, and, just like that, the request is underway!

To complete this request, this is what the player must do the following:

First, exit the Galaxy Hall and head to the Morel’s quarters, the second house from the top on the left side houses south of the Galaxy Hall (turn on guidance in the Mission & Request menu for better navigation).

Talk to Morel, who will inform the player that his fellow mushroom enthusiasts are investigating a fungus that sprouts from the back of a Parasect. He will then say that if the player manages to catch one, he will take it off your hands to conduct his research.

Next, the player must now give Morel a Parasect. If you have a Parasect that you are willing to give up, simply speak with Morel again and give him the Parasect.

If you don’t have one you’re willing to give up, Parasect can be found in the above locations.

It is worth noting that the Parasect found in Nature’s Pantry in the Obsidian Fieldlands is an Alpha Pokemon, which means that even though it is the closest Parasect to Jubilife Village, it may be difficult to catch.

Finally, return to Morel’s quarters in Jubilife Village after catching a Parasect. Speak with him and choose the Parasect you want to give him from the prompt.

Morel will be confused at first after receiving the Parasect because he believes you only gave him one large mushroom.

However, once the “mushroom” turns around, he will realize it is a Pokemon. It is important to note that once you have given Morel the Parasect, the player cannot retrieve it, so only give him the Parasect you are willing to give up.

After that, Morel will reward the player with five Candy Truffles for her efforts.

The player can now try to use Parasect to complete requests, missions, or Arceus’ assignment for the player—to catch ’em all—now that the player has one and is familiar with it.
