Basic Information
Vespiquen is a Bug and Flying-type Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Hence, it is weak (super effective) to Electric-type, Fire-type, Flying-type, Ice-type, and especially Rock-type moves, resistant to Fighting-type, Grass-type, and especially Bug-type moves, and immune (no effect) to Ground-type.
Vespiquen’s base stats are 70 HP, 80 Attack, 102 Defense, 80 Special Attack, 102 Special Defense, and 40 Speed, for a total of 474.
Vespiquen evolved from a female Combee when it reached Level 21.
Vespiquen’s preferred foods are Springy Mushrooms, Dazzling Honey, Hearty Grains, and Plump Beans, which can be great foods to throw to it if the player wants to lure it before catching or battling it or simply feeding it food.
Once a Vespiquen is caught or defeated in the wild, it will drop a Seed of Mastery and an Exp. Candy M, which the player will receive.
Location
Vespiquen can be in locations mentioned at all times of the day and in every weather condition. The player can find a Vespiquen in these locations:
Crimson Mirelands: Cottonsedge Prairie, Droning Meadow, and Lake Valor.
It is worth noting that the Vespiquen found north of Cottonsedge Prairie is a Level 61 Alpha Pokemon, and it can also be found here at all times of the day and in every weather condition.
Research Tasks
The following are the Research Tasks in Vespiquen’s Pokedex entry:
Multiplier | Research Task | Objectives |
x2 | Number caught | 1/2/4/10/15 |
Number of heavy specimens you have caught | 1/2/3/5/7
Number defeated | 1/2/4/10/15
Number you have defeated with Fire-type moves | 1/2/4/10/15
Times you have seen it use Air Slash | 1/3/6/12/25
x2 | Times you have seen it use Big Buzz | 1/3/8/20/40 |
Times you have seen it use an agile style move | 1/2/4/10/15
x2 | Number you have seen leap out of trees | 1/2/3/4/5 |
A Pokemon’s Pokedex entry must have a Research Level of 10 to be considered complete. The player can increase the entry’s Research Level by one by completing one of the objectives of a Research Task. In addition, completing a Research Task objective with a multiplier of x2 earns the entry two Research Levels rather than one.
To quickly complete Vespiquen’s Pokedex entry, the player can catch the Alpha Vespiquen in the Crimson Mirelands, then use it in battle and use Bug Buzz in agile style four times. These will tick the first objective of the “Number Caught” Research Task and raise two Research Levels because of its x2 Multiplier; tick the first objective of the “Number of heavy specimens you have caught” Research Task to add one more Research Level the first and second objectives of the “Times you have seen it use Bug Buzz” Research Task which adds four Research Levels thanks to its x2 multiplier and tick the first, second, and third objectives of the “Times you have seen it use an agile style move” Research Task to gain three more Research Level, to get to Research Level 10
