Pokemon Legends: Arceus occurred when humans and Pokémon were at odds in the early years of the Pokemon universe. This game’s setting, the Hisui region of the Pokemon universe, will eventually be renamed to the Sinnoh region. To fill out Hisui’s first Pokédex, which is used to learn about Pokémon, the player must catch every one in this region. The player will be placed in the Survey Corps of the Jubilife Village’s Galaxy Expedition Team (also known as the Galaxy Team), which studies the Pokemon in the region.
In this guide, we will learn everything you need to know about Snorlax!
Snorlax
Snorlax, the 52nd Pokemon in the Hisuian Pokedex, is a Normal type Sleeping Pokemon with a huge dark blue-green and cream-colored body, a large, cream-colored belly, a pair of round, cream-colored feet with a brown paw pad and three claws on each foot, a pair of short arms with five claws on each hand, and a large head with a cream-colored face, a pair of closed eyes, two pointy teeth sticking out of its mouth, and a pair of pointed ears. In the game’s Pokedex, Snorlax is described as suddenly appearing in villages and devouring the villagers’ rice granaries, considered one of the worst kinds of catastrophes.
Basic Information
Snorlax is a Normal type Pokemon which means it has a weakness to Fighting type moves (super effective) and an immunity to Ghost type moves (no effect).
Snorlax’s base stats are 160 HP, 110 Attack, 65 Defense, 65 Special Attack, 110 Special Defense, and 30 Speed, for a total of 540.
Snorlax can be evolved from a Munchlax once it has a High Friendship level.
If the player wants to lure Snorlax with food before catching it, it prefers Dazzling Honey, Hearty Grains, and Plump Beans.
When a Snorlax is defeated or captured, the player is rewarded with a Seed of Mastery and an Exp. Candy M.
Location
Snorlax can be found in the following locations:
In the Alabaster Icelands: in the Snowfall Hot Spring
Snorlax can be found in these locations at all times of the day and in every weather condition.
An Alpha Snorlax can be found in Sandgem Flats in the outer part of the cliff east of Lake Verity (southwest of Aspiration Hill or northwest of Windswept Run) in the Obsidian Fieldlands and can be found here at all times of the day and in every weather condition. The Alpha Snorlax found in this location is a Level 45 Pokemon.
Aside from that, the Snorlax can also be found in Massive Mass Outbreaks in the Obsidian Fieldlands.
Research Tasks
The following are the Research Tasks in Snorlax’s Pokedex entry:
Multiplier | Research Task | Objectives |
x2 | Number caught | 1/2/4/6/10 |
Number of alpha specimens caught | 1/2/3
The number you have caught while they were sleeping | 1
Number defeated | 1/2/4/6/10
The number you have caught while they were sleeping | 1/2/3
x2 | Times you’ve seen it use Double-Edge | 1/3/6/12/25 |
x2 | Times you’ve given it food | 1/10/20/30/50 |
The player must complete an objective for a particular Research Task to raise Snorlax’s Research Level by one, except for objectives with a multiplier of x2, which do so by two for each one accomplished. The player must advance Snorlax’s Pokedex entry to Research Level 10 to complete it.
To quickly complete Snorlax’s Pokedex entry, the player must catch the Alpha Snorlax two times, which ticks the first and second objectives of the “number caught” and “number of alpha specimens caught” Research Entries to add six Research Levels thanks to former’s x2 multiplier and give it food ten times, which ticks the first and second objectives of the “times you’ve given it food” Research Task to add four Research Levels thanks to its x2 multiplier, to reach Research Level 10.
