Rescue Volo Side Quest : Baldur’s Gate 3

You can find this man at the Goblin Camp, singing a ballade while the savage goblins are shouting and probably cheering at him? Nonetheless, it’s a sad scene, but you can rescue him.

Today, we will tell you how to finish Rescue Volo secret quest in Baldur’s Gate.

Baldur’s Gate 3 – Rescue Volo Side Quest

You can find Volo at the Goblin Camp at X: -109 Y:434. If you see a man standing in the middle of a crowd on a fountain, that’s him.

You can speak to him, at which point a dialogue will ensue. You will talk back and forth with him and his goblin master. At some point Volo will panic and forget the song, and his master will get frustrated and order him back to his cage.

From there you can begin the quest if you want. This is how you begin the Rescue Volo side quest in Baldur’s Gate 3:

  1. Go to the Shattered Sanctum.
  2. Walk to X: 331 Y: -12. Look at the picture for reference: location shattered sanctum
  3. At this point you can talk to this man’s master again. She will be frustrated, but if you play it right she will release Volo.
  4. I chose Wisdom and it worked for me, but try whatever you want. Worse-case scenario is you fight a couple of goblins.

After you get him out, he will be very grateful, and will seem jumpy. He states that your heroic acts will be echoed in eternity.

You can ask him how, but the rundown is that he is a poet which apparently wants to write a book dedicated to you. Next time you get back in camp, he will be there and you can ask him about mind flayers. Good luck!
