Resident Evil 7 Biohazard European Collector's Edition Revealed

We’re sure you’re all aware by now that the latest instalment in Capcom’s iconic horror franchise, Resident Evil 7, is coming to our shores on the 24th of January next year. Eager fans in Europe can get their hands on the newly announced collector’s edition from today as Capcom spill the beans, or brains, on the contents of this special package. 
Capcom has today announced a collector’s edition, and steelbook edition, for their upcoming first person survival horror title, Resident Evil 7. There’s a bunch of themed items as well as an exclusive DLC pack for the game included, check out the full list of what’s on offer below:

• Highly detailed 7″ tall replica of the Baker Family Mansion
• 20^th Anniversary Resident Evil Artbook
• Dummy Finger 16GB USB Drive
• 5 Lithographs featuring art from Resident Evil 7 biohazard
• An alternative inlay for your copy of the game
• Survival Pack: Action Set DLC – which includes a number of useful consumable items and an instant unlock of the challenging ‘Madhouse’ difficulty setting
• Premium Packaging

The Steelbook Edition also includes the Survival pack DLC, which adds the ‘Madhouse’ difficulty mode to the game as well as the steel case. The Collector’s Edition is only available to preorder at Amazon or GAME in the UK and the Steelbook Edition is exclusive to GAME. The information available at this stage suggests the DLC will be exclusive to these preorder editions, though it’s likely it will be made available for purchase at a later date.
Resident Evil 7 promises to return to the franchise’s roots of survival horror, inventory management, and nonsensical puzzles, (seriously, who hides a succession of keys around their house and sets a bunch of logic puzzles to get at them?) while bringing a fresh perspective through the use of the first-person view. At the time of writing, the Collector’s Edition hasn’t popped up on Amazon, but you can get the base game or check when it gets added at this link: Resident Evil 7. The Steelbook edition can already be preordered at GAME here. Whatever you think of retailer exclusive DLC, at least we now know the purpose of the dummy finger… to sell us things!
