Learn how to get to the Susuyai Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom!
Link must finish Shrines in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to obtain Lights of Blessing. Link can then trade these Lights of Blessing for additional hearts or stamina. The Susuyai Shrine, also known as the “A Spinning Device,” is one of several Shrines Link finds in Hyrule.
Link must use the wheels inside the Shrine to reach the altar. The Susuyai Shrine is relatively straightforward to accomplish because it is one of the few Shrines Link discovers quite early in the game. In this guide, we’ll walk you through everything Link needs to do to finish the Susuyai Shrine, locate the treasure chest inside, and claim the Light of Blessing!
Susuyai Shrine’s Location in Tears of the Kingdom
Link can find the Susuyai Shrine southwest of Lookout Landing past the Passeri Greenbelt. This Shrine is east of Mount Daphnes or west of Hyrule Field Castle. Specifically, Link can find the Susuyai Shrine in these coordinates: -0785, -0433, 0018. Link can find the Susuyai Shrine as one of seven Shrines on the unlocked map after activating the Lookout Landing Skyview Tower.
A Spinning Device
In the Susuyai Shrine, Link will find a lot of Small Zonai Wheels. This is the spinning device referred to in the Shrine’s title. Link can use the Small Zonai Wheels inside this Shrine aside from the fact that it is used for making vehicles.

Because of that, the Susuyai Shrine is like a tutorial dungeon for the possible uses of the Zonai Wheels. Even though some require Link to use Zonai Devices inside Shrines, they will not consume Link’s Energy Wells when activated. In this guide, we’ll walk through completing the Susuyai Shrine step-by-step.
Susuyai Shrine Tears of the Kingdom Guide
Link must do the following to finish the Susuyai Shrine and claim a Light of Blessing:
- Go down the stairs, and the Knight will find a wide area with passing contraptions. These contraptions are three slabs of concrete with four Small Zonai Wheels each. The contraptions are moving in alternating directions. Link can hit one of the Zonai Wheels of a contraption to deactivate them and stop them from hitting Link. Then, Link can cross the area.
- The middle contraption, the one that is moving from right to left, has a treasure chest attached on top. Strike one of its Small Zonai Wheels to stop the contraption from moving. It is worth noting that Link can shoot an arrow on it to deactivate it. Head up the concrete slab of the contraption and open the chest to get a bundle of five Arrows. Don’t worry if Link misses this contraption after it has crossed, as it will cross again.
- Next, continue on the path. Link will find a large part of the floor moving like a treadmill. The floor is moving quite fast towards the back of the Shrine. Before this large treadmill floor, Link will find another concrete slab with Small Zonai Wheels.
- However, two of the Zonai Wheels are not attached. Hold the L button and select the Ultrahand ability with the right stick. Aim on one of the Small Zonai Wheels and press the A button to grab it. Hold the R button and use the directional buttons to rotate the Zonai Wheel upright.
- Ensure the arrow above the Zonai Wheel is in the same direction as the other attached wheels. Bring the Zonai Wheel to one of the concrete slab’s corners and press the A button to attach it. Do the same to the remaining unattached Small Zonai Wheel.
- After that, press the L button to ready the Ultrahand ability. Aim on the newly-built vehicle contraption and press the A button to grab it. Hold the R button and use the directional buttons to rotate the contraption to face forwards. Place the contraption before the large treadmill floor with the arrows on the wheels facing forward.
- Then, climb up the concrete slab of the contraption and strike it to activate the Zonai Wheels. The contraption will then start moving and slowly cross the large treadmill floor.
- Once Link has crossed the treadmill floor, strike the contraption again to deactivate the Zonai Devices. In this part of the Shrine, Link will find a closed gate ahead and a crank on the right to open the gate. Press the L button to ready the Ultrahand ability and aim on one of the recently-used contraptions Zonai Wheels.
- Press the A button to grab it and wiggle the right stick to detach the wheel. Bring this wheel to the crank on the right of the gate. Press the A button to attach the side of the Zonai Wheel to one of the arms of the crank. Make sure that the wheel’s arrow is in the direction that will make the crank spin in the counterclockwise direction.
- Next, attack the Zonai Wheel attached to the crank to activate it and rotate the crank. This will cause the gate to open. Go through the gate to continue.
- Following that, in this part of the Shrine, Link will find a pair of long rails with a concrete platform connecting a large gap. Before the gap, there are two Small Zonai Wheels on the left. Beyond the gap is the altar of the Susuyai Shrine.
- Press the L button to ready the Ultrahand ability and aim at one of the Small Zonai Wheels. Press the A button to grab it and bring it near the concrete platform on the rails. Place the wheel part of the Zonai Wheel above and in between the rails. Link can do this near either the front or back part of the top of the concrete platform.
- Make sure that the arrow on top of the wheel is facing forward. Hold the R button and use the directional buttons to rotate if necessary. Then, press the A button to attach the Zonai Wheel to the top of the concrete platform.
- Then, embark on the concrete platform and strike it to activate the attached Zonai Wheel. The wheel will start moving on the rails and bring the concrete platform with Link forward.
- Finally, upon reaching the end of the gap, disembark from the concrete platform and approach the altar ahead. Press the A button to examine the glowing symbol, and Link will get a Light of Blessing!
