How To Kill Skulltula Spiders – The Legend Of Zelda Skyward Sword HD
Like most other enemies in the game, if you want to eliminate them effectively, you’ll need to attack them at their weak spot, there is no getting around it. Unfortunately, these spiders don’t respond that well to uncontrollable slashing. You need to be smart about it.
The most common weak spot for the Skulltula Spiders is the underbelly and the purple core that will appear. This is how you’ll do the most damage, and have the best chance of killing them.
Now, depending on the spider and its positioning, you’ll need to use different attacks. It is not a must, but it can be a good idea, as you’ll deal much more damage.
The first attack for those hanging Skulltulas is the horizontal sword swing. This will get the spider spinning, and it is a perfect opportunity to stab the spider in the weak spot. Basically, because it is so easy to do these attacks, the hanging Skulltulas are the easiest to fight.
You can use different attacks for the second slash like Skyward Strike, especially if you’re having issues executing a stab.
When it comes to the ground Skulltula Spiders, they’re somewhat more difficult.
The first thing you need to do for those is perform an upward slash. This is to flip the spider on its back, to get the weak spot exposed. After that, you can execute a fatal blow to eliminate the spider.
Those are basically the two types of spiders you will find in the Skyview Temple. You can get creative with the attacks, but we’ve found these to be the easiest, but effective as well.
