Fortnite is arguably the most consistently popular game there is. A lot of that popularity lies with skins. In the 3+ years that Fortnite has been out, they’ve released so many different seasonal and special event skins. Which leaves us with one simple question: What are the top 5 rarest Fortnite skins in 2020? Let’s take a look!

Recon Expert used to be the rarest skin you could acquire in the game. It was first released in October of 2017, which was the very first season of Fortnite. Since Fortnite was first launching at this point, not many people purchased it. At the time, it was available for 1200 V-Bucks. But, after they released it again (most recently) in May 2020 for 1200 V-Bucks, there are now a lot more people who own the skin, making it much less rare than before.

Diecast

Diecast was first released in November of 2018, making it the second Solid Steel skin in the set. Originally sold for 1200 V-Bucks, it was only sold for a short time. With it’s originality, we’re hoping Epic Games will bring it back soon!

Midnight Ops

Midnight Ops was last released on the store in October of 2018. The skin itself has not been available for purchase for a few years, but that’s not the only reason it’s considered one of the rarest skins. When it was available, not many people showed interest in it. This could be because it wasn’t super flashy or maybe because they never noticed it. But, partly for that reason, very few people own this skin, making it extremely scarce.

Rogue Agent

Rogue Agent has been off the market for a solid 2 years. When it was available, Rogue Agent could be purchased for 1500 V-Bucks. Rogue Agent was one of the first starter packs released into the game (Season 3). Although Fortnite was pretty popular at this point, it is still apart of the Black Vector set. Since it was more expensive than other skins at the time and hasn’t premiered since June of 2018, it’s grabbed the number 2 spot on this list.

Renegade Raider

Renegade Raider is perhaps the most famous skin in all of Fortnite! It was first released in September of 2017, which was only 2 months after Fortnite launched. They brought it back in November of 2017, but even then, Fortnite was not nearly as popular as it is today. This leads us to believe not many people had a chance to get their hands on it. In season 3, Epic Games released a new version of Renegade Raider, which was slightly different than the original. Even with the new release, the original season 1 Renegade Raider is considered the rarest skin in Fortnite, even to this day.
