Shionne’s Boost Attack And Perk

You’ll be facing a lot of flying enemies throughout Dahna in Tales of Arise. It can be difficult for Alphen, Law, Dohalim, and Kisara to take care of all of these flying creatures on their own. The good news is that those enemies are Shionne’s specialty. Her basic attacks allow her to reach and damage flying enemies without having to jump first.

Her Boost Attack is best used against flying enemies. When she hits them with her Boost Attack, she can trigger Boost Break thus allowing the party to deal considerable damage for a certain period of time. That said, Shionne can also take out flying Gigants and bosses whenever they begin setting up aerial attacks, and the rest of the party can’t reach it yet.

Shionne’s Perk is her primary way to deal damage. What she does is that she can throw a more powerful bomb that uses her special ammo gauge. To use this, you simply need to hold and charge your special ammo. You can shoot the bomb mid-air by pressing the button again to blow it prematurely which deals larger damage to enemies.

The best way to use Shionne is to have her spam her bombs whenever there are groups of enemies that are bundled up. The bombs cause elemental damage to an area, so it can be a great way to clear out waves of weaker enemies. However, you also need to keep in mind that Shionne is the primary healer of the group. That means she’s not a good fit for the main DPS.

Instead, you should use Shionne as a sub DPS and have Alphen, Law, and Rimwell deal most of the damage. Use Shionne as a means to end combos and to support your party with AoE attacks as well. Focus on healing most of the time.

Best Arte Set Up

For her main Artes, make sure you fill up the slots with healing abilities. Putting in Heal, Resurrect, and Healing Circle is an excellant way to sustain the party when using Shionne as the primary healer. For her secondary Arte, make sure to spread out her abilities by assigning a different elemental Arte for each button.

Shionne’s best Artes are her bombs. Specifically, make sure you assign Luke Celestra, Luke Divisio, Glacio Split, and Glacio Celestra into her quick Artes configuration.

As for her skills, make sure to put points into improving Shionne’s Healing Artes, as well as into increasing her action gauge. Improving her Healing Artes early on will help you during those intense boss fights in the game. Her action gauge needs to be high as well as it will allow you to spam her bombs very easily.

With these tips, you’ll be able to utilize Shionne as a good main healer and a good support DPS character. Remember, Shionne is the best healer in the game so staying in the backline is also a necessity.
