It’s VALORANT Champions Tournament season once again. And you know what that means – a new 2022 VALORANT Champions bundle is coming to VALORANT very soon.
Last year, Riot Games released the 2021 Champions Tournament bundle, which featured never before seen effects that let players stand out when fragging out in-game. This year, the VALORANT team has taken things up a couple of notches with the 2022 VALORANT Champions Bundle.
The new bundle adds yet another skin to the ever-popular Phantom and Butterfly knife in VALORANT, along with other in-game vanities such as an exclusive Champions 2022 Gun Buddy, Player Card, and Spray.
The 2022 VALORANT Champions Bundle
Riot Games knows how to come out with a bang – the first two cosmetic skins will feature no less than a Phantom skin and a Butterfly Knife skin.
The Phantom is one of the most popular weapons in the VALORANT Champions Tournament, so it made a ton of sense for Riot Games to release a Phantom skin for the 2022 VCT.
With the 2022 VCT Phantom, players are getting a reactive gun model that will change its glow depending on how many kills you have in-game (changes aura every five kills. Maxes out at 25 kills) In addition, the 2022 VCT Phantom features a custom ADS design and red muzzle flash colors.
On the other hand, the 2022 Butterfly Knife skin shares the same reactive visual design as the 2022 VCT Phantom skin and changes its glow depending on how well you’re doing in the match. Of course, as a Butterfly knife, the 2022 VCT Butterfly Knife still has those sweet knife-flipping animations that players have come to know from the butterfly knife in VALORANT.
When will the 2022 VALORANT Champions Bundle come out?
The first set of cosmetics will become available on August 23, right before the start of the VALORANT Champions tournament, which begins on Friday, September 2.
Aside from the Phantom and the Butterfly Knife skins, players will also get an exclusive VCT-themed gun buddy, player card, and spray.
How much does the VALORANT Champions Bundle cost?
The VALORANT Champions Bundle will set players back a cool 6265 VALORANT Points, making it one of the more expensive VALORANT Bundles Riot Games has ever released.
Players who purchase the bundle from August 23 to September 21 will help fill the 2022 VCT prize pool – 50% of the proceeds for all 2022 VCT skin bundles purchased within this time will go to participating teams in the 2022 VCT.
The Skin of Champions
The 2022 VALORANT Champions Skins might not have as many weapon skins as you would like to have considering its hefty price. Nevertheless, it makes up for the lack of weapon skins with its exclusivity – the 2022 VALORANT Champions bundle will only be available within the timeframe mentioned above. After that, you won’t be able to buy the bundle from the in-game store or the VALORANT Night Market.
