As promised earlier this week, PlayStation’s State of Play was going to feature some lengthy coverage of Rocksteady’s update on the Arkham universe with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. We have 15 minutes of coverage, and it gives us a good look at the gameplay as well as some other incoming characters.

Check this out (via GameSpot):

We already know that the Squad will be taking on a Brainiac-corrupted Justice League, but more characters have been confirmed in the form of Lex Luthor and a surprisingly non-corrupted Wonder Woman.

What’s crazy about the Wonder Woman reveal is that it confirms that narratively, the Squad is backed into a corner by being forced to kill the members of the Justice League that have been corrupted.

Other characters we get a look at are a returning Penguin as well as Teen Titans villain Gizmo who will be providing all kinds of upgrades for the Squad.

The video also confirms that the Squad will be sharing different types of guns, with each being available for specific upgrades. Even if that is the case, each of them also have different abilities, with Harley being able to swing around, Deadshot having access to a jetpack, Boomerang being able to use the Speedforce, and King Shark being able to leap tall buildings.

I’m sure a lot of fans aren’t going to be excited to hear there’s a battle pass, but I guess we’ll just have to wait until the game is released before we can gauge what players really think.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League launches for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on May 26.
