The world of Warcraft is rife with memorable characters and legends, but Blizzard has just revealed one icon will be making its way into World of Warcraft.

World of Warcraft Announces Wrath of the Lich King Classic

Here is the cinematic announcement for Wrath of the Lich King Classic:

“His evil is legend. His power and malice unparalleled. Lord of the undead Scourge, wielder of the cursed runeblade Frostmourne, and nemesis of the living, the Lich King will stop at nothing until all life on Azeroth is extinguished. Relive the legend and end his reign.”

The expansion will add a new class in the form of Death Knights that start at level 55. This class is considered WoW’s first hero class and is limited to one per server. For Wrath Classic, though, players can bypass the requirements for their first Death Knight.

The level cap has also been increased to 80, and a level 70 boost will also be made available for players who do not want to go through the Burning Crusade Classic expansion to get to the Lich King. A new profession has also been announced with Inscription, which allows players to scribe glyphs that will modify their spells and skills and also allow them to craft more powerful unique items.

No release date has been announced for Wrath of the Lick King Classic, but it is expected to release sometime later. World of Warcraft is now playable for PC and macOS.
