For years an adaptation of the Halo games has languished in development hell, but now a series is ready to push forward with Paramount+. Just in, we have a new poster for the show, and it’s confirmed that we’re going to be getting a full trailer come Sunday.
Here’s the post:
With so much hype teased for December 10’s first look, a lot of fans were disappointed that they only got a minute’s worth of content. That being said, the visuals are definitely dazzling, and you could say they were movie-level VFX if Halo wasn’t confirmed as a series.
Despite the worry that a TV budget wouldn’t be able to capture the same scale as the video games, modern shows that have been releasing like The Mandalorian have been able to reveal just how much VFX technology has evolved over the past years. We know Halo isn’t a Disney project, but hopefully they’ll have access to the same visual techniques that will be able to bring the world of the Spartans and the Covenant to life on the small screen; fingers crossed they actually make a movie if the series is a big enough hit.
Dramatizing an epic 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant, Halo the series will weave deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure and a richly imagined vision of the future.
No release date has been set for Paramount+’s Halo, but we should expect an announcement to come along with Sunday’s new trailer.
