We know all about Chris Pine’s party of adventurers in the Dungeons & Dragons movie, but we know that part of the fun of the game is running into all kinds of crazy monsters.
Just in, we have a new featurette showcasing the different creatures we’ll run into in the film including mimics, displacer beasts, and a morbidly obese dragon. Check this out:
While the featurette does give us a look at several different dragons, the only one that really got the spotlight in the featurette was Themberchaud. We also got a look at an owlbear which is a real thing from the games, and previous trailers have revealed that this was actually the party’s druid Doric who can transform into different animals.
Audiences usually walk into fantasy games expecting a pretty serious epic, but it seems that the movie is going to be embracing the more fun side of the game where all kinds of players just have fun and try to improv through the quests in between fighting all kinds of monsters.
Here’s the official description of the film:
A charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers undertake an epic heist to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves brings the rich world and playful spirit of the legendary roleplaying game to the big screen in a hilarious and action-packed adventure.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is set to come to theaters on March 1.
