With the Rings of Power having wrapped up its first season, Amazon is now gearing up for the premiere of another huge IP that they have. Just in, they’ve dropped a first look at their Fallout series starring Walton Goggins, Ella Purnell, and Kyle MacLachlan.

Amazon Drops First Look at Live-Action Fallout

This was actually to commemorate 25 years of Fallout. Check it:

The photo essentially gives us a look at the inside of Vault 33, with some characters wearing the vault suit from the games. Though the photo doesn’t really give anything away, fans have noticed that there is a pair of feet on the floor near the entrance of the vault—possibly a dead body.

We don’t have a story for the series so far, but we can probably expect all the broad strokes of the original game, with humanity being plagued by nuclear war and being forced to hide out in specific vaults—all resulting in different kinds of disasters.

With each vault in-game telling its own story for survivors, there is a lot of potential for Fallout to just start its own narrative and place whoever Goggins is playing in the middle of wasteland, complete with broken robots and mutant gangs.

Admittedly, Fallout is a very unique piece of sci-fi, envisioning a retro-futuristic world brought to life by 50s tech. It certainly has a lot of cinematic potential, and I’m hoping Amazon does something amazing with the property—unlike Paramount and what they did with Halo.

No release date has been set for Fallout yet, but hopefully we get a reveal soon.
