After you solve the moon puzzle, you can progress to Ebonlake Grotto, and after that you can reach the Dread Hollow. These locations are widely known as the Underdark of the Goblin Camp.

A couple of quests will require you to enter these places, along with side missions. Nevertheless, solving the puzzle can be quite overwhelming, but we are here to help.

This is how to solve the moon puzzle in Baldur’s Gate 3:

Important: To get to this location, you will have to kill a certain mini-boss who will give you the Priestess key and the Priestess Journal. Use the Priestess key to unlock the door which leads to this area.

  1. step one stone disc Go to X: 437 Y: 51. You will be faced with this puzzle:
  2. Open the Priestes Journal and read the first and second paragraph. It states that this system should bring full moons to match stars, while establishing darkness where it belongs, i.e. at the bottom.
  3. To solve the puzzle and unlock the door, you will need to move the objects until you get this pattern:

As you can see the full moons (at the top) match the stars on the sides, with the darkness casted at the bottom.

Now, I know this sound pretty straightforward, but a lot of players try to solve this puzzle to no avail. This is the pattern you should be aiming for, so, move the objects to achieve this placement.

It’s also important to note that if you look at the picture at step one, you’ll see that the puzzle will be a mess when you arrive to it. This means that you will move these objects a lot before getting the right positions. It took me ten minutes to pass this puzzle. Good luck!
