Grand Theft Auto V is almost 10-years-old, and many fans have been wondering when exactly Rockstar plans to release the next GTA entry. Interestingly, we could be getting an update before the year ends.
As per Rockstar Magazine’s Chris Klippel, a major milestone has just been surpassed for GTA VI, and we should expect an announcement before the end of 2022. Here is his post:
Translated, it reads:
An important step in the development of #GTA6 has just been reached. Things should speed up (internally at Rockstar). I think that a (real) announcement at the end of the year may be possible. In any case, I do not see the game arriving before the end of 2024!
Rumblings have been going around for the next GTA game for a while, and it was Klippel himself who said that the game had to be rebooted after co-founder Dan Houser left the project. We do not have any details on this ‘major milestone,’ but hopefully, we will get some updates from Rockstar soon.
We don’t know what could be in store for another GTA game, but we should expect things to be larger, with more content enough to fill in a new-gen type of game. Do you think there is room for a crypto scam plotline to be put in the game?
Until we get any official announcement, all we can do is wait. But in the meantime, fans can check out Grand Theft Auto Online, which is now playable for Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 3|4|5, and PC.
