The Eye of the Storm is one of the elite enemies in Genshin Impact. It can only be found in a few spots in Mondstadt and Liyue. Also known as a Restless Elemental, this creature can manipulate Anemo to create a wind storm to attack.
This enemy is immune to Anemo attacks, floats around, and primarily attacks from mid-air. The best way to defeat this elite opponent is to use range attacks, so bring an archer or a catalyst user.
In most cases, you will come across one of these enemies unprepared and you may not have any charged character in your party. Fret not, because there are still ways to defeat the Eye of the Storm using melee characters.
Attack Moves
Suction Slam
This is one of the most repeated attack moves of this enemy. It will move above you and create a wind current that will pull you right below it before it slams its entire body to the ground.
As it summons the suction wind, the ground will be marked to indicate the area of damage. You can try to move away from it or just time your dodge perfectly when the enemy slams its body.
After it falls to the ground, the Eye of the Storm will not move for a few seconds giving you a chance to attack it.
Spin Attack
The Eye of the Storm will float lower, charge, and then spin towards you to attack. This move is easy to dodge.
Tempest
The monster will charge and absorb Anemo energy while creating a wind barrier around that traps you. The enemy will then float higher, spin violently, and be the center of the Eye of the Storm, causing you to take Anemo damage.
With a ranged attack, you can hit the Eye to stop the tempest and disable it for a few seconds. You can also use the small wind currents that will randomly appear inside this storm to glide up and make a plunge attack to the Eye.
If you only have melee characters in your team, wait for the Suction Slam and Tempest attacks to damage this elite enemy.
