Diablo Immortal was originally scheduled for a June 2 release date on iOS and Android. So it came as a surprise for Diablo fans everywhere when the game was made available for download a day early on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

While Diablo fans wait for the PC version of Diablo Immortal to release, they will have to get their Diablo fix on the mobile version of the same game for now.

Fans of the Diablo franchise should find their way around the game with little problems. However, if Diablo Immortal is your first foray into the highly-acclaimed dungeon-crawling franchise, you will probably have little to no idea where to start.

Worry not! Here are five quick tips to help you get started on the right foot on Diablo Immortal.

Choose the Right Server

Diablo Immortal will let players choose their most preferred servers to play in upon starting the game.

Generally, you will want to prioritize ping or latency to ensure the best gameplay experience online. So choose a server closest to your region for the best connection quality.

Next to ping/latency, choose the best server that works well for your friends, especially if you are all planning to play Diablo Immortal online.

Players from different servers will not be able to play together online since Diablo Immortal does not support cross-region play. Coordinate with your friends so you can all enter the same servers together.

Lastly, characters, game progress, items, and achievements are non-transferable from one server to another. Plan your preferred primary server so you can utilize your most competitive characters when playing with friends online.

Choose an Easier Class To Start With

Diablo Immortal features six different classes at launch. These are:

• Barbarian,
• Crusader,
• Demon Hunter,
• Monk,
• Necromancer,
• Wizard.

Players can choose any of the six classes when starting. However, if you are relatively new to the Diablo scene, you might want to use a more forgiving class while learning the game’s ins and outs.

We recommend players use either the Barbarian or Crusader class when starting since these two classes are much tankier compared to the other four classes available in Diablo Immortal.

Spam Your Skills

Skills are purely cooldown-based in Diablo Immortal, which means players do not have to worry about mana management for their character’s equipped skills and abilities.

Since time is all that players have to worry about when using skills in Diablo Immortal, it is best to spam all your skills whenever it is off cooldown. This ensures that your DPS or Damage Per Second stays high so you can deal a ton of damage in the least amount of time.

Keep Swinging

In Diablo Immortal, every class’ Ultimate Ability can be recharged by simply spamming the Primary Attack Button. The more normal attacks the player lands on enemies, the faster the Ultimate Ability bar will replenish. 

This awesome in-game mechanic can consistently launch stronger attacks on Bosses and Mobs.

Turn on Auto Pickup

There are three different filters for Auto Pickup in Diablo Immortal:

• Normal,
• Magic,
• Rare.

Picking up loot can be a cumbersome task in Diablo Immortal. Fortunately, players can automate the looting process through the Auto Pick Up option.

Through Auto Pick Up, players can prioritize the type of items that will be picked up, so you can save space for more valuable loot later in the game.

Players can check or uncheck any of these options to pick up specific types of in-game items.

Become Immortal

Players can learn a ton in Diablo Immortal by simply playing and spending more time in-game. However, this can be difficult to do when you are new to the genre or the Diablo series as a whole, as you will have little to no idea where to start on your Diablo Immortal journey.
